I really liked Oblivion don't get me wrong on that. Fallout just felt like a copy of Oblivion. Parts of the story even seemed to be just a copy of Oblivion with new names and places.

I totally disagree I think Fallout took the best bits of oblivion and made loads of improvments, it also added a moral system that works well. The gameplay was awesome, probley the best single player game on the 360 along with oblivion and bioshock.

I am finding excuses not to do my final essay :P and then revise for exams :P I played Fable 2 first time in ages and completed Knothole Island and the see the future DLC and then played Halo 3 for the 1st time in ages really enjoyed it and got some achievements which is always nice!

Just come back from the Vets and my little dog is on antibiotics and needs to go in for an operation on her mouth as soon as possible, because she has an infection right now they need to wait til Thursday when the tablets have kicked in to reduce her temperature. She will taken in again on Thursday morning and will be back home recovering Thursday night.

I am going to be an absolute wreck/state on Thursday waiting for her to come home.

Cheers...it's awful - I can't imagine what it must be like to have kids and go through these things. But I tend to stop everything for my dog if anything happens to her. Its just worrying that she is 11 and has to have a general anesthetic, but on the other hand if she dont have this then the infection could come back and kill her off with the stress it puts on her body.

Yeah when mine went vets i didn't even go, mother did it. Apparently as my mum left the dog went fucking nuts, crying and everything. Not something i would have liked to have seen.

The trouble is the dog has no idea of whats going on or even if you'll be back! I was told that because mine is 11 there could be complications with the general anesthetic, but if she doesn't have the operation her organs could end up failing so I didn't have any choice other than to make her have an op.

Update: Im not kidding you I so could just get pissed right now.

The vets have phoned me, my dog had 13 teeth removed, a huge absess drained which was poisoning her body. They have done blood tests which will get the results soon to find out about her liver and kidneys.

She has just this minute come round from the op and I can get her soon, thank god!

And the netbook is a nice piece of kit works well, only one issue is my USB ports sometimes go a bit funny but I take it too London a lot so it has taken a few bashes but all in all works very well!

Yeah getting one with Windows on it was a bit more cost compared to one with just Linux, but I like the 'on-the-go' aspect of it and it's small, but just about right if that makes sense!

My dog is back home, completely out of it and not really sure what happened or where she's been. Losing 13 teeth will be pretty sore when the drugs wear off I've been told...but least she's alive and she needs 7 - 10 days rest now.

Cheers, funnily enough she does still think she's a puppy! Right now she's asleep on the sofa, been fed some prescription dog food called Hills, had her tablets and she's now asleep for the night!

I meant... Diet Coke - I drink 14 litres a week now I've cut down a lot. I can't drink it if its about 2 months away from it's use by date as I can already taste the difference and it has to have been in the fridge for at least 4hrs. I only include ice made with evian water (optional)

Ive never smoked or even tried, but its a kid thing - I was not in an environment where anyone could even so much as get me to try it - most of my family smoke though, and I do not believe smoking causes as many illnesses as governments portray. My gran for one is 84 and has smoked 20 a day for 70 years! She is totally healthy.

Well I have run childrens clubs wit Surrey council and i worked in the youth department for guildford ymca workin with 13-25 year olds and vulnerable adults by 2011 all youth workers will need qualifications so combined my 2 favorite things for my degree!

you never know...the xbox hand held is alot more likley than a thin 360...but even so i think we're a few years of that. but im more intrested in software to be honest. Cod:MW2, Deus Ex 3 anf Fallout Las vegas are top of my list (fallout 3 did a really cool walkthrough before it came out, and i think it won best at show 2 or 3 years running over at ign).

Glimps of cod would keep me happy...but fallout and deus ex i need more, i at least want to know what sort of game fallout will be (new developers, and they've went out of thier way to say it's not a sequel, so i don't think it'll be fps [although im still hoping]). and deus ex has to reveal something, as so far we've had nothing, except that teaser trailer which left me wnting more (as i'm sure it was designed to do)

yeah i agree it's a ps2, but i missed out on alot of ps2 games when switching over to xbox. playing the old burnout, and gtas keeps me happy. along with football managers, and old ps1 games (rayman, crash bandicoot downloads). It's not perfect but it's goo enough for me, i imagine i'll get sick off it eventually, but id keep it for ff7.

I was too, as I might have previously said somewhere else that I don't feel there are any great handheld consoles around, everything is last-gen. The PSP has now been revised 4 times (Original, Slim, 3000 model & now Go! Version) and similar for the DS/DSi - but although have new online features, cameras and download the games are graphically awful to look at and feel so old now!

MS are in a good position to release a new handheld if it was graphically capable to make games look better than a PS2. I couldn't care less if a handheld xbox didn't fit in my pocket and I am hoping those past rumours of the xYz device thing are true...

I've been playing so much Halo 3 these past three weeks that my hands are a mess. I have pain from the middle of my hands to up my fore arms. The pain will slowly go away over the coarse of a few hours to a day but within 10 minutes of playing video games I'm uncomfortable again. I know the obvious answer is stop playing, but I don't like that answer. I tried ice packs on my hands and forearms but it doesn't really work. Any suggestions? PS - I don't really hold the controller very tight. I try to keep my hands and arms loose while playing. Anyone else have this problem when you play too much??? :?

I always have that problem now and again, for me the pain is usually in the fleshiest bit just under the thumb area - but you need to be conscious of how tight you tense your hand muscles when playing so that it doesn't happen as often.

I hope our following on twitter grows... there will be a bit of a delay though from the time news gets published here before it gets parsed into the twitter page as its an automatic process so that regardless of who writes news, all our news gets on twitter without all of us needing to login and manually tweet as they say! Yeah it's actually not bad - it's going to be handy for me when it comes to the console, cos it's like a mini-updater you can browse through when bored or just nosing on Live... once all our friends list has them (Im assuming you can join twitter through the xbox too) it'll probably replace text messaging on Live for most people

There were many good Mega Drive games! Sonic 3 with the Sonic and Knuckles add on was incredible, Gunstar Heroes is great, just to name a few. I wasted hours as a child playing those games!

Yeah - it's still possible now if people want big flatscreens but can't afford one, there are rental companies who give you a tv for so much a month - then after a year you can buy it in full at a reduced price.

We rented a 36 inch widescreen TV and I remember it was huge because there was no flatscreens back then. Then we ended up buying it, then it got sold and we bought a 42 inch huge rear projection tv

I first broke the details of the rumoured July 9th release date for Battlefield 1943 weeks ago on Xboxic (http://files.xboxic.com/xbox-360/battlefield-1943/bf1943a.jpg), but it was taken off public mode at EA's request within the hour of me writing about it, so not many would have read my posting. It now sit's in PRIVATE mode, a memory of such little effort :)

And now though the rumoured date seems to be everywhere these last few days because of a recent email EA newsletter or something...but it is still only a rumour apparently...

I am well excited for Battlefield 1943 my friend told me they will release DLC when total kills reach certain levels which is a cool incentive to play!

yeah, battlefield looks good, worms isn't up on xbla yet, well last time i checked an hour ago. but that kodu thing is, and it is very simple and very fun. im going to buy that, worms and fallout dlc later on this week.

Picked it up on my lunch break as well. Its pretty fun, but the damn planes are hard to fly. I like the ww2 battlefields better than the modern ones. And despite all the chatter about server issues I had none when I was on.

EA was saying on there forums yesterday that the game surpased there expectations,so more servers were to be added. Im curious as to what they actually expected from this game. I mean within the first hour of it being online they were max capacity. Typical EA, release something then fix it afterward.8)7

Oh yeah that is free - the maps are already installed on your download, just they wont get 'unlocked' until the community challenge thing is complete. They now have a counter at http://www.battlefield1943.com to see progress on Kill stats

I went on a mission today to uncover 'Smitty' and I know who 'THEY' are... both people are regulars here, 1 uses the FP sometimes and the other is a forum regular. I know names, I know locations and I wont expose the forum member but I am making it known that I know who it is should they read this.

The forum member and the FP commenter must obviously be friends to have come up with the idea of putting the 'Smitty' character on the FP for their entertainment.

no battlefield is all about the multiplayer. I think fans would be disappionted if DICE focused on single player DLC instead of extra maps. Battlefields is a multiplayer game, i don't think enough people relise that, the single player is always just packaged in so that people who are off line will buy the game. but as a downloable game, they don't really have the off line audience with 1943. It's abit like if you tried to make a multiplayer out of final fantasy, it's just not what it's designed for.


EDIT: I know there was a final fantasy 11 and 14, which are online, but they are diffrent games just given the final fantasy title. Anyone who's played both can tell the diffrence.
