Just for the UK ppl here 118800 are creating an online directory of all Mobile numbers and there owners even for children, its a massive breach of our privacy as companies can now locate our numbers and advertise and call or txt us with unwanted crap!

The website is supposed to go live this week but has been down for maintaince, you can wait till its live and remove ur number or txt "E" to 118 800!

Yeah it is a MMO but you can't judge it yet when barely one render has been released. It could be just the experience people are looking for. I was pretty disappointed with FF XI though, not anywhere near as good as it should have been.

ok fair dos. but i still think (whether it's good or bad) it will just be a mmo game, with the final fantasy brand. They obviously have simularties, but there's just no way you could keep them the same. maybe they'll find away, but im not to sure.

well at the very least final fantasy 11 is deffintly not like any other final fantasy. (unless 3-6 were =P ive played the rest)

My Gran who nearly killed herself is coming out of hospital Wednesday and moving in here for a bit for a few months til she's properly back on her feet...

The hospital wanted to transfer her to some old biddy rehab hospital unit miles away, but they aren't happy about her coming here - but fuck em... if she can sit in a bed there, she can sit in a bed here...

Yeah it's all free...but the operation was two weeks ago, and then just because you are old - they always move old people to units which is like hospital/rehabilitation to get them on their feet again. Because the place they want to move her to is 70 miles away, it's isolating her and she don't want to go there, we don't want her to go there and the hospital has said that going into a relatives home is NOT an option! But they can't force her to go...

Literally all she has to do is have bed rest and take a few steps two to three times a day to get walking again. These social workers who want to move old people into special units to recover must treat each old biddy like they are contracts. My Gran would be providing the hospital a source of government income, and although it's easier for us to leave her there - but a few months isn't a lot out of our lives considering she's 84.

I think some kind of care package will be sorted out here, where she's monitored and has physio sessions.

graphics looking good, game looks slightly more arcade-like than the last one. but it still looks awesome, and i belive hardcore mode will shut me up anyway. my sound's bust on my laptop as well so im not sure if i missed anything, but is there going to be more than just awards for 3,5,7 killstreaks. because there was something about 11 kill streak "be the gunner of ac130". anyone know more about it?

I get so excited (probably way too excited) about MW2 - I've never been this hyped for a game before! I know I am CoD Mad...but I can't put MW2 into words. If I ever had to review this game, I think it would just be pictures.

Call of Duty 2 was great, but felt a bit PS2-ish...
Call of Duty 3 - by then I was hooked into CoD and we were married.
Call of Duty 4 - Brilliant Campaign, great multiplayer but could have done with more than 1 map pack...
Call of Duty 5 - Well it is basically Call of Duty 4 goes back in time, but I do like the Zombie games and having 3 map packs is and always was a Call of Duty minimum!!

MW2 - I pray this has more than 1 map pack, but the minute I saw that video and we can set our own killstreaks! I nearly hit the deck...

Yeah it brought back some memories for me too...

I remember being almost 9, sitting on the front step just outside our council house. The prostitute who lived at the end of the street had bought her son one for his birthday, and he used to bring it down to my house. That's the first time I ever played one and it was only Mario & Tetris.

I didn't actually own my own gameboy until a Yellow Version came out with Donkey Kong Country in 1995 when I was 15 , and then a year or so later I got a GameBoy Color that got me hooked on Harvest Moon.

I was given a choice - Gameboy or Mastersystem, and I opted to have Mastersystem, which I was so greatful for - they weren't exactly cheap when it first came out and although we had very little money, Christmas was kinda the moment having nothing was made-up for.

Now if anyone remembers what happened last time I got in the NXE Preview - I couldn't play online for about two weeks until MS corrected my console ID...this was because the NXE preview had two downloads and my console only received 1 of 2.

I notice this time round in the email we all had, people can fill out a console ID correction form thank god - I hope it's not 2 downloads because if the console shuts off after the first one, then for some reason it doesn't allow you to sign in on xbox live to get the 2nd

That so pissed me off...

Sign up on the link I posted above...just a few post's up...and then if you are selected you get an email, then the update comes to your console a few hours later...

Can you see my Halo Clothing and huge cotton bud prop on your console? Im not sure if only other people with the update can see my changes. My gamerpic below has changed though..

Well no one is missing much to be honest... I think things seem a lot smoother, avatar marketplace is pretty good, the achievements on the guide button are now all shown at once instead of scrolling down a list...

I can't think of anything else... oh it now displays (3) on my gamerprofile since I joined Xbox Live gold 3years ago (4 this December)

The new update also adds an eject feature to the hd dvd drive too which is so very helpful to me :D

Internet Explorer doesn't let me comment at all... it just stays blank - no matter what I do it will not post a comment. I can on the other hand comment if I am logged into wordpress, but not as a guest...

Google Chrome on the other hand will let me comment but it stays stuck on a white screen with this as the URL www.xboxic.com/wp-comments-post.php?validation=1249166395 - If I press back, then I can see the comment, but it doesn't refresh itself like it normally does and takes me back to the homepage.

No... it means not only did you get in on wave 1, you got in on wave 3 too! There's been problems with MS duplicating out the updates.

I got an update with Wave 1 and Wave 2. I know Wave 3 updates went out last night - but that's it now until August 11th.

I didn't fix anything except the server times, but I suppose the fucked up server times may have caused some problems with caching on your local machine....

There is no exploit to add points to your account - believe me, I'd have found it... for instance check the profile of UK JAY on xbox.com which has been branded a cheater...

That site probably wants people to enter their xbox account details so it can steal accounts.

SCAM. Some places will give a very small amount of accounts actual points so they will go tell all their friends 'It really does work!' so more people give their accounts away, they may have payed out for SOME points but they make much more back. Never ever ever trust those things.

Talking of scam, I was caught with ODST achievements listed and I said I was a games tester...because I had the new update, I think they believed me...

Now since removed ODST and was trying to find out what the MW2 achievements are but they aren't live yet :(

Agreed... I have the weights and cotton bud, both bought with left over points. I wouldn't buy a prop for 400 MS points, props are actually pretty useless. I did get some t-shirts and the armour, but that's my lot until I see some Call of Duty stuff now

So I just got my hands on a desktop PC for £20. Currently has 1GB RAM which I shall replace and has Intel Pentium 4. Does anyone know any decent, cheap, UK sites where I could get some replacements for motherboards and other stuff please?

I haven't really upgraded a PC before and the tower is limited in space, so it's like a mini-project that I hope to have The Sims 3 running on soonish (love the Sims!). Cheers.

I might be one of the few people in the world who actually like Batman Begins the game, so was a bit bummed they didn't bring out The Dark Knight game understandable but this makes up for it, my girlfriend has preordered me the special edition for my birthday so I am not to bothered would have been nice to play it a day or 2 early!!!!

I don't have any wire controllers. But the right stick one works fine. Really rather frustrating and puzzling they would both go at the same time...

Yeah It's what happened to me, stress of my gran - going through the she could have died bit, operation, and now stress of looking after her... just got on top of me last few days...I always act in haste. Well u could report on the new 65nm chip or Jasper as they call it. Now it could be old news, but they werent in the systems last summer I know. I had to pick a arcade console up the other day. Mine shit a brick AGAIN!! The easy way to tell is if your power brick says 110w on it...believe me its a hellava lot quiter than my previouse ten 360s. :)

People here can get whatever they want within a week period. Now, they'll be in debt for a little while....but it's possible right now to get whatever they want, whenever they want. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but people are a little afraid that the government will start deciding whether your life is worth helping or not based on whether it's logical or not to ration help to you or the person who doesn't smoke or drink.

If you've got X amount of doctors, and Y amount of patients, you'll undoubtedly have to ration healthcare to the people who 'deserve' it more.

Yeah it's a shame xboxic has gradually very slowly died...

But I don't think it has anything to do with news content or forums. I personally blame it on visuals, and have always had this gripe with Xboxic. Good site, but bland to look at. When you see GamesRadar, and Xbox Live Nation which are visually more modern looking...Xboxic looks even worse.

Yeah I hated to bring that argument up on here, specially since theres only a few of us who would have to live with the decisions our higher govnt would make. But I was called out for my sig, even though its in no way directed toward our health care uproar. Basically I pay round 100$ a month outta my check, thats medicare and even a volutary whole life policy. If im sick it cost me 25$ outta pocket anywhere I go and I can walk in immedialty, yes there may be an hour wait. Whats wrong with that? My biggest gripe is that I would help pay for ppl who have no drive, no desire to better themselves like I do just so they can get to the doctor for a sore throat? Call it what you want but even today, if you didnt have health coverage you could go to the emergency room for any treatment. Thats a law, you cannot be denied care at a hospital no matter the reason. Anyway...these ads on here do piss me off, everytime I flip through the pages in a forum i have to wait till the ad goes away! :-(

In the UK, we have been born into this system where our taxes fund the National Health Service (NHS) so we aren't adjusting to a change of system, for us now it's a "just is" way of life and we certainly wouldn't function the same without it - because no one will give a 2nd thought about thinking they are paying for someone elses health. We rant our frustrations out on our taxes paying people who go on sickness benefit when they are faking illnesses, bad backs.

If things had previously functioned differently in the UK and we were being told now that a new NHS system was coming which offers free health services for all paid for by the taxes of those who work - then I can only imagine the fuss, so now I kinda get it...

But it's a good system and in the long term the US will appreciate it (I think) also I think it would open up more competition in private health care services and you may find substantial cost reductions now...only another possibility - but over here we wish our healthcare services were paid more money...

there is one advert on here makes my blood boil.. it's like some indian dating service I think shaandi or something similar which opens up to half a page with glittering stars and some ugly bitch...

money will play a big part in my choice.

Yeah that was my plan.
I just want to take things easy.
18-24 months would be my goal no later. I would be turning 25 so it wouldnt feel too young.
My sister got married after being engaged for 2 years and said she had plenty of time to save and it made it all a little less stressfull.

I've been playing the 3 games i have non stop, i even didnt sleep from the morning of my birthday until 5 this morning. But i don't like PSN, i see why its free, no proper chat, no parties which i know are new but i'm used to now, playstation store doesn't look great and the controller is way too small now i'm used to my 360 one. Having said all that though, i do quite like the PS3, LBP is brilliant and i'm loving Metal Gear Online and Killzone 2 online. I expect lots of time on ps3, until MW2 comes out, then i'm all over live again.

All games that come out on both platforms i'll get on 360, the ps3 will be for exclusives and BR.

Not tried Home yet, i expect it to be stupid.

You should download the Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo, it's pretty cool.

Sometimes on ebay you can get a 12 month live code from around £24.00

Google - cheap xbox live gold subscriptions and I only use the people advertising on google adwords side cos they seem more legit

Just had a wee thought on bringing more people to the forum instead of spammers.

Some forums are using "member only threads, links, videos and spoilers" on links to pages etc.
Dont have a clue if yous can, or find the idea useless but i think a member only area could possibly attract more people to the forum.
eg. gaming tips, walkthroughs home made gaming videos for fun or help.etc.

Members could start a thread dedicated to that game and make up their own walkthrough with people contributing to it with their own experiences and hints.
If someones usually stuck on a game they google it etc and the result could be xboxic where they could come and read a walkthrough but key parts were only viewable to members.

Im just bored at work.

This one is nice and compact. Actually much smaller than I thought when I bought it online. It's light as a feather also. Flash memory is cool. I ended up buying a 16 gig SDHC card ($36) and it appears to give me plenty of space. The only thing I need now is a nice little travel bag for it and my Canon still shot camera. 8)

I'll give it a real test run this weekend and post a video to youtube to see how it looks.

Well fellers..I have found a new hatred for a fellow human. In particular bankers, lawers and real estate agents! I mentioned awhile back I was purchasing my first house, well the original closing date was sept 11...now what day is it today thats right oct 15. Over a FUCKING month!! Were waiting on one piece of paper to get signed and have been for two weeks now! How hard is it to get ONE paper signed then faxed to us here?!Apperantly what my lawer is saying is that since the banks here in the us crashed months ago its extremly hard to get anything done in a timely matter. I told him I understand that but im paying him to make this deal happen, either he does by next week or im outta this deal all together. Then nobody makes money not the seller not him not the real estate agent and not the bank. He said I know im working on it as best I can...BULL SHIT!!

Rants over..it just really pisses me off to no end. I got basically two weeks to find another house and get in a contract just so I can make the dec 1 deadline for the 8000$ first time home buyers credit. Im not gettin screwed outta 8000$!! :'(
