Can't wait for this baby to hit the stores. It's one of the reasons I bought a 360. Love that original 'dawn of the dead' feeling and look.. I haven't seen the lego trailer yet though.

It's one of those things you can putt over the zombies' heads (like the cone). I'm really excited for this game aswell, I love sandbox type games where you can do whatever you want. This should be great. And the Lost Planet demo showed that Capcom knows how to produce next-gen graphics so that should be fine aswell. :D

During the move there will also be planned maintenance to upgrade system memory and replace a defective backup hard drive.

For technical reasons the site will simply give "server not found" during the downtime, so don't be alarmed at that message.

The problem is one of bandwidth. Imagine we were using a crap hosting here on Xboxic (purely theoretical :+ ) with only 2GB bandwidth per month. We put an image online and half the world links to the image, wasting my 2GB in about 15 minutes and another 50GB in the next days, causing me to get a bill of $100 for extra bandwidth used this month. Or the site would go blank after passing the bandwidth limit, causing it to be offline until the end of the month. Would it be fair? Hotlinking is definitely a big problem for small sites on occasions, because bandwidth simply costs money. One of the reasons we at Xboxic use watermarking on our files is that even if people "steal" our bandwidth they're at least advertising for us.

Having said that I can understand hotlink protection, but only to the extent of serving a small file instead saying "please host files yourself instead of hotlinking from us". Serving Goatse or Tubgirl instead is nearly considered a criminal offence in formal netiquette, since you're getting innocent people banned elsewhere or otherwise in trouble.

Hahaha you're kidding right? Dragonforce blow away about 90% of all of today's metalbands. It's nothing for me but man these cats can play their guitars. Generic numetal bands like Killswitch have nothing on Dragonforce as far as skill and technique go. Not that that makes a band great or anything but saying that Dragonforce is nothing compared to KsE is like saying that Slayer is nothing compared to KoRn.

It's all about perceptions ;). But KsE wouldn't know a metalcore band if it hit it in the face. Metalcore is a mixture of Hardcore and Metal, in order for something to be considered hardcore it must have meaningful lyrics and 'express righteous indignation at society' (according to, again, Wikipedia). Singing on how your girlfriend broke up with you (proof here (http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/killswitchengage/theendofheartache.html#4)) is not considered harcdcore and theferore KsE isn't metalcore. And I know a lot of bands misuse the term metalcore, this is a prime example.

Metalcore actually makes me a lil sick. So do Killswitch engage :P. Speedmetal is partly their genre and so is Powermetal. I do love Korn btw, but i see your point they are total different genres in which people compare bands. Its all about preference of genres in the end. An example being i really dont like death metal but it doesnt mean a band that plays death metal arent good at what they do.

If they've set it up right there is no SPOF. If one server in the round-robin fails, it will not be contacted by peers and will temp. be removed from the round-robin so the dead server can be fixed. I guess they are using a clusterd database behind it so again nu SPOF there.. I could be mistaken though. Don't know their infrastructure :)
