my opinion on games on demand is a complete rip off most of the games on demand are cheaper in game shops than on the xbox, your 19.99 for a game or you can purchase with microsoft points in that case its costing you more money than payin 19.99 as you need to buy 2 lots of microsoft points or buy the biggest bunch which is 4100 or 4200 if i am right, just a way for microsoft to make more money,

The Games-on-Demand thing is useless and pointless...

I bought Warhawk on PS3 at midnight the day it was released. Not sure how many stores did a midnight launch, but by downloading it off of PSN i was able to play the game instantly, quicker than had i bought in a store. I liked having it on my hard drive, as i could also have a movie or other game in the system and play warhawk when i wanted.
But.
With movies, i know there was some sort of protection being paid for (like MS does w/ exclusives) by dvd companies to prevent me from renting a movie on demand the day it was released. This was so rental companies and dvd sales could continue to flourish in spite of the awesome advances downloading has now offered us.
If any sort of thing like that goes on w/ games, it's a pointless service.
Also... to really flourish, it would be nice if downloading games allowed you to burn it to disc. "But piracy"... bla bla bla. They could add some component during the burn which links that disc to your gamertag, just like downloading arcade games. (tho i guess at that point someone could create a dummy offline non gold account, download it, and pirate it along w/ the info on the account name.)
I duno. Just some thoughts.
