Hi all.
If there's anyone in the know, how about putting together an exhaustive list of the region-free games for the 360, which can be updated frequently and maybe even stickied if one of the admin feels that'd be a good idea.
Also, does anyone know if there's any risk of dashboard updates killing the region-free factor of any of these games?

Well, we have this Wiki (http://wiki.xboxic.com/Region-free_Xbox_360_Games) page :P It's not complete unfortunately.
And it's very unlikely if not impossible they can change the region-free factor of the games.

Does anybody know if MLB2006 is region-free? It looks like It's not for sale in europe (atleast not in the LowLands).. That sucks, cause I would like to hit a homerun on my 360 ;(

Strange, I was trying to find out the exact same thing yesterday! I know it got pretty average review scores (about 6/10) but I'm dying to play a bit of next-gen MLB, and I'm not exactly a genius about the sport so I wouldn't notice a few of the statistics glitches etc.
The answer though... I don't know. I certainly haven't found any sites boasting that it is cross-region. And no, I don't think it'll get a PAL release, last year's Xbox version didn't either.

That's why it's in the Wiki, then everyone can easily edit it to make it complete ;)

Depends. Dunno how it is set on the gamediscs, but if for example there is a code that says "yeah this game is PAL Europe only but we don't give a shit if it's run elsewhere" they can ofcourse modify the dashboard to ignore the second part.
However, deciding to make a game regionfree or not is a publisher decision, not Microsoft's call. Region coding is a means of simplifying worldwide logistics and distribution where required, nothing more nothing less. Microsoft Game Studios themselves haven't regionfixed any of their 3 launch games as far as I know because they gave them away an awful lot and that is easier to manage if you have a central repository of games you can use in promotions anywhere on the world.

Well, according to the Lik-Sang list, GRAW is region-free, so I just added that there :)

IF it's region free then I'll order it overseas. Maybe some of our American friends can check the box or something?? It really sucks that the game isn't released over here :'(

Definitely not region-free :(
On the plus side, a PC demo was released this week of OOTP Baseball 6 (a baseball management sim from the people who make Football Manager). It's pretty good, there's a heck of a lot of options for creating your league etc, although obviously you don't get to swing your bat yourself...

Purchased GRAW and Tomb Raider Legend region-free ASIAN region (Hong Kong) games from play-asia.com. I can verify they are completely in English and they work on my American console. $40 brand new to boot!
