Ok, a lot of people will be fed up with the whole fifa vs pes argument.

Both demos are now up on xboxlive and I have had the chance to try them both out.

Fifa has the 360° movement, which is a vast improvement throughout the years of football games. More freedom to dribble round players is what I like.
You can also change kick takers on corners, freekicks etc by holding down the Rb button. A really handy shortcut as it tells you the player’s best foot if you want to swing a corner in. The passing is more reactive and slicker.
Fifa may have the edge.

Pes still has the diagonal movement in players unlike fifa. This may be the problem that stands fifa on top but as per usual the passing in pes is great. And the graphics has had an upgrade. Both games graphics are hard to compare. Fifa has always had the edge on this field. I hope pes has upgraded their servers as playing online has been torture the last few releases.

Both games play a great game of football.
I don’t know which title to get.... maybe fifa since its out first.
I'll probably still get pes as offline against your mates when they are up for a drink rocks.

I suggest any football fan downloads both demos this year before they decide on their purchase.

I played both Demos and am inept at all football games but have always been drawn to Fifa as I got Fifa 96 on my Mega Drive and also because they have the full licences of all teams!
However I really enjoyed the PES demo and probably would have scored if the buttons were the same as Fifa as I kept crossing instead of shooting or visa versa.

Played both, but PES still feels like hard work, and not in a good way. Much better than PES 09, but FIFA rocks my socks still.

Having said that, I doubt I'll buy FIFA 10 this year, it's just not changed that much at all. Depends how many of my mates buy it I guess.

i was really let down by pes the last 2 years after buying it on release. il need to read the online reviews before i consider getting pes10 aswell.

Can't you make up your own mind based on the demos?

Nope.

When I said online I meant actual online gameplay.
The last 2 releases have been shocking in my opinion.
Supposedly Pes are not using konami's servers this year.
Also I want to see better options for playing co-op online like fifa.

Ahh I see. I thought you meant reviews that were just online!

Easy mistake. Should have worded it better.

Got Fifa. aint stopped playing it. Been up to nearly 4 in the morning every night since release and been on it from 12pm onwards.

Addicted. Plays well online and I like the player of the match feature when playing co-op.

The practice arena has greatly improved.
Iv been crying out for the last 2 years for a mode to practice freekicks with a wall etc.

Love Fifa 10, but i can't get my live working at uni, so I can't really comment on the online modes. The genral gameplay is much improved though. Manager mode is basicly the same (why it's labled as a "New Feature" I will never know), the practice arena is much more enjoyable. I'm abit disappionted at the keepers, it's now unbelivebly easy to chip the ball over them, because they come out even when the player dosn't press "y". All in all: It's a great game, but the lack of major improvments (ie, game modes) is alittle disappointing.

Don't know what's up with Fifa online at the moment but it's a struggle to finish a game. Keep either getting disconnected from opponent or from the EA server, so frustrating. Always seems to be in the second half and it's against both randoms and friends.

It's really fucking me off that every time I go to play a game online 9/10 people choose to play as Barcelona. It's so frustrating and the only way to stand a chance is to either be Barcelona as well, although when I do this the opponent tends to quit out, or to be Real Madrid. Just getting seriously fed up with this.

Rant over.
