New XBL Update - Need help.

I got the email saying, i got in to the programme, i went onto my dashboard on xbox.com and it said i gave microsoft a faulty serial number for my xbox360, and when i submit a new one, that i won't be able to log into xboxlive until the update is released.
I just downloaded the update.
Does it just mean i'll get back onto xboxlive straight away?

What it is that, i signed up for the update preview, i got the email saying i got in, i went onto xbox.com and it told me that when i signed up, i gave a incorrect manufacture code for my Xbox360 and to resubmit it, and i won't be able to sign into xboxlive until the update is out, i've just downloaded the update, this this still apply?

I should imagine that if you have the update and you can get online with it and play/do everything as normal...then dont need to do anything else...ignore MS
