Wow.

This was actually a game that was kiddy, but actually fun to play. I remember when the demo for this gam came out, and I immediatley picked it up at my local GameStop the next afternoon. I am just so glad that this game is finally getting Backwards Compatibility on the Xbox 360. For a developers first game, this is an amazing start; I don't really think that well-known developers could have made a game of this quality. We need to give Microsoft a round of applause for making this game Backward Compatible.

3 Cheers for Psychonauts.

Actually it's not really their first game, the designer (Tim Schafer) is a legend of old LucasArts fame :) His track record:

The Secret of Monkey Island (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_of_Monkey_Island) (1990 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990)), JVC, LucasArts
Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey_Island_2:_LeChuck%27s_Revenge) (1991 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991)), LucasArts
Day of the Tentacle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_the_Tentacle) (1993 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993)), LucasArts
Full Throttle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Throttle) (1995 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1995)), LucasArts
Grim Fandango (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grim_Fandango) (1998 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998)), LucasArts
Psychonauts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychonauts) (2005 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005)), DoubleFine, MajescoWhich is, to say the least, very respectable ;) As for Psychonauts, I still haven't played it, but given all the hype I've seen over the last few months I might go pick it up at budget when the B/C arrives :)

I've played every Tim Shafer game from front to back and from back to front.. didn't know Psychonauts was his work and thus never payed any attention to it :X but if it's anything like one of his previous games, with the same humor, then Ill deff. will try out Psychonauts. _o_

WOW I never new Schafer was on Psychonauts either. I also played through all of his games except for Grim Fandango. I was planning on picking up Psychonauts as soon as it got Backwards Compatible but now that I know Tim's on it I want to get it ever more. In fact I played through the original Monkey Island games a few months back and I played through DoTT a bunch of times. Can't wait to play this one, seriously.

Curry!

No, this was not Tim's first game. But it was the team's first game; Tim Schafer was just the Senior Producer/Designer.

Correct, and on the MI series he was just an assistant next to lead designer Ron Gilbert :) Fact remains that it wasn't his first game ofcourse ;)
