NEXT DASHBOARD UPDATE [Archive]

Now that we have a bigger and more complete dashboard update
some would may think that there is not much left to do for it.
I feel somehow that is an elusive estimate and there is always more
things to be done..

One of these for example would be an update to the chat program.
So far we have a game channel, 4 private chat channels and the video
chat as the last new addition.

I often come to the point where I need to chat with 3-4 people simultaneously like starting a chat conference. The only way to do this so
far is to go to the lobby of a multiplayer game and gather friends there
in order to have a global chat.

I wish they added a new GLOBAL Chat channel in their next update where
would substitute the need for simulating the Game channel to work as a
global chat conference channel.

So there you go Microsoft. Consider this update to your next dashboard
release.

Is there anyone else who needs to add something extra ?

System crashing is still happening, that really needs to stop.
My system has only ever crashed playing Oblivion. No other crashes ever.

Mine crashed 4 times today alone, whilst playing Doom 3 co-op, and Doom 3 is really jerky now.
Liked it better on xbox 1 when co-op had no jerkyness.

GRAW made my 360 crash on more then one occasion, same as Quake 4. God, I #*($(%_ hate Quake 4 more then Figo 8)7

btw. Why arent the GR:AW achivements updated yet? I cant find them in the GRAM achivement list on my XBOX live account.

Thats odd, because GRAW does not have 1000 gamer points to score. Because of this you would say they saved those last points for Chapter two

We all expected that.... but the lack of full 1000 is no reason obviously, Condemned also only has 970 and PGR3 is still stuck at 900 I think.

My 360 froze everytime I played that new Team Battle seems there isnt 1 person on GRAW that can hold more that 4 peep to run this game type.

Can a "Dashboard Update" help with server problems?

People please stay on Topic. Its ok that you mentioned the crashes fix
but lets repeat the same problem over and over on this thread.

Another thing I would like to see in the next update would be the ability
to send messages to ALL of my friends with a single button click which
in turn would automatically mark ALL of my friends as message recipients
without me having to check each one seperately.

i really think they should focus on getting more arcade titles and b/c titles out before we think about another update. i think the next update will have to do with clans over the xbox live servers perhaps? i hope so. and i hope also that we get that new blade. microsoft is bound to have something to come out that can get some hype for the 360 against the mighty mighty wii, and the guaranteed late bloomer ps3.

yeah i agree that would rock out. beer, pizza, and i would like some kind bluckbuster option too. within two games of cod2 u could have pizza, beer, and ultraviolet. not that its a good movie, but for the same reason we all saw resident evil 1 and 2 ;)

I'll vote for the beer & pizza too :)

But what i also really want is better navigation when browsing my music. Some alphabetized tab system of sorts, cause scrolling through lists with 7000+ mp3s is not fun!

Yep same here. Pathetic if you ask me. Sometimes I think I should see if I can get Xbox to fix it but I bet it'll take a long while.

I'm not just having to cope with crashing issues. Sometimes my disc tray won't open. Discs make odd noises once I finish playing them with the 360 positioned vertically.

Etc.

Sometimes my disc tray won't open.

Consider your self lucky, mine seems to open and close at random. When I shut the tray, the power button flashes, then it locks, untill I open it again. Once it does open, it gets to about an inch, then goes back in a again. Even more annoying is when I'm playing a game, and then it just opens by itself. I was hoping the update would have fixed this somehow, but to no, it didn't.

Good call! I've been wondering why they're not doing that yet.
