I actually threw up while watching it. True, I was watching it on the terrible quality of a PSP, and it was eight in the morning, and I'd drunk waaay too much the night before, but I still blame the film.

I admit it was a bit too much about the love couple, but isn't that what spider-man comics are about? Uncle Ben's life lesson "with great power comes great responsibility" and the (love) life he has to sacrifice to be the Hero.

Hope venom whill be in this one.. _o_ One of the best villians, just below Carnage who's number one.. \o/

I think its more likely they will set Venom up for a 4th because all the Symbiote suit stuff pete has to go through like releasing what it is, finding out how to get it off, it latching to Ediie (Eddie i in the trailer if you look closly :P) but it seems to me this one will be focused more around the second Green Goblin, Sandman and as it seems Gwen Stacey.

Can't they just skip Harry in the Green Goblin outfit? I didn't like it and wasn't that great of a story either. I want venom! The movie will be 3 hours anyways so they use the first hour for the black spider-man, the second hour for him fighting the symbiote and pissing of Eddie, then the last hour for Eddie with the symbiote. All action for about 3 hours :D

i doubt it will be 3 hours, it will be more along the lines of 2/and a half. If anything they want to skip in there they could skip Sandman.......Gwen Stacy and Harry as the gobbo though is a no-no because we all know what goes on with Gwen Stacey :P

It's a little late for the Gwen storyline, isn't it? Peter was dating Gwen years before he got married to MJ and if I recall the ending of SP2 correctly, there was a marriage between MJ and PP.. Or am I mistaken?

What a terrible casting, I must say.. That 70's guy as Muscle Eddie? And that village woman as Gwen? OMFG.. That part should've been for Scarlett Johansson or something simular...

1) Although I'm delighted to see the symbiote suit (and therefore most likely Venom) in the movie, I'm disappointed that it's just a darker version of his existing suit. Would have been better without the 'webbing' on it, just making it plain black aside from the white spider in the middle. I'm maybe being a bit of a purist though.

2) Does anyone else think that instead of the guy they have playing Eddie Brock, it should have been Brock Lesnar from the WWE? I've never seen anyone more suited to playing a comic book character in my life - if you look at the older comics, Eddie Brock IS Brock Lesnar. That said, he probably can't act, but for the look, he would have been perfect.

This film should be great, but the one that's got me geek-gasming everytime I think about it is Ghost Rider. Go check out the HD trailer for that and cry with tears of joy.

The Ghost Rider's been my favourite character ever since I was a kid - the embodiment of the Spirit Of Vengeance, and he's a flaming skeleton on a motorcycle! What could possibly be cooler?

There's a lot more depth to the character than you think, too, lots of interesting history and stuff.

He kicks the arse of Superman in the 'interesting character' category, anyway - he's probably the closest Marvel have to having a really good vigilante character with the exception of the Punisher, who doesn't even COMPARE to the Rider.

Goldberg doesn't look anything like him, facially, and is way too old.

Whereas Lesnar really does look like the character Eddie Brock in the comics. When he first appeared in the WWE, I thought the "Brock" part was a joke because of that. More fool me!
