Anyone tried it on 360? Work good/bad? Thinking about picking up a couple for 15$.

It should work fine, but I'm not too enthousiastic about the "noise cancelling technology" in the product description. I have the Gamecom X30 and if I'm to believe the people I game with it turns out to be "voice cancelling technology" ;)

Well, we don't have alot of other options right now so i guess fine will have to be sufficient. Thanks for the info.

All headsets just have a regular 3.5mm jack, allowing you to either plug it into the Xbox Communicator or the 360 controller. The jack isn't any different and it's just analog technology, so it ought to be plug&play :)

Erm seems I was wrong: http://us.codejunkies.com/shop/product.asp?c=GB&cr=GBP&cs=%A3&r=1&l=1&ProdID=419

Sorry :X

Seems very strange though, I'm very sure my X30 is supposed to work on both, and no adapter was supplied :?

I've used some cell phone headsets and stuff but they just aren't made for gaming and the 360 doesn't seem to amplify the sound like a phone. My main concern is if the H2 headset works well enough without volume control to not be annoying. I think I'm gonna buy a few just to have them, plus they are giving to charity, and they look cool. Thanks again for info.

I posted this (http://www.xboxic.com/news/1184) in the Plantronics thread on the main page.
I have used the Halo 2 headset since it came out. At first I din't care for it due to the "in ear" sound of it. The earpiece is small and comfortable (it comes with several different size earbuds to choose from, some rubber and some that are foam covered) I really got used to it quick though, and had a hard time using the original Xbox headset. I suggest you keep your receipt, just in case you don't like it. Some do, Some don't.
Don't forget to read the main thread for more info. That's my 2 cents worth, }:O

The headset works fine with the 360. The only problem I had like plantronics the ear pieace is to loud and your constantly adjusting volume threw the dashboard.

if you're referring to this one (http://us.codejunkies.com/shop/product.asp?c=GB&cr=GBP&cs=%A3&r=1&l=1&ProdID=318), I'm pretty sure that "WiFi" remark is terribly wrong.

I'm waiting to see how the official MS wireless headset turns out. Until then I'll stick with the piece of crap it comes with.

I still don't get why they downgraded from the quality of the Xbox 1 Headset. Oh Wait, I'm a sucker! They made the headset just good enough so they could sell me a wireless one down the road while I tolerate the POS :p

Well I bought 2 of them and I plan to mod my worthless 360 headsets so I have volume control and mute. I have it all ready, and im gonna solder a female jack into a little dongle from the 360 connector so I can use different headsets. Costed me 35$ after shipping, plus a few for some radio shack stuff. I'm alright with soldering, but I am a civil engineer, not an electrical, so we'll see how well it all works when I am done!

I have the X30 headset and I dont use it. It works on Both Xbox and Xbox360. The problem is, no one can friggan hear you. Every time I use it my friends tell me to move the mic closer cause they can barely hear me. I am practicly giving the mouth piece CPR when they can finally hear me, but still tell me its kinda low. The headset was a major letdown.

Yeah I been getting exactly the same with my X30. Noise cancellation up to the extend of voice cancellation.

Well it took them over a week to ship me my headsets but UPS is bringing it today. I already modified a broken 360 headset, I installed a submini phone jack where the wire used to come out and rearranged things inside of it a little. I got the jack at radioshack in a 2 pack for like a dollar. They are panel mounted so the little input is all you see.

Its all pretty ghetto and I could have done a better job but I was hurried. It works awesome, no loss of quality or anything and volume and mute works. Already tested with a few other headsets, after the H2 gets here I will post my findings.

Ok, I got the H2 headsets and tried one out with the ghetto jack, and it works great. Good quality sound, no distortion at all or feedback. Headset is very comfortable but sorta feels like some kind of alien has mounted the side of my head and inserted a probe into my ear. I am getting used to it, it came with 4 extra types of ear plugs for the perfect fit.

I didn't realize how high quality these headsets are, very nice look and feel to the plastic. I am very pleased. I'll try to do some pics later, gf has the camera atm. I think I am going to take a good 360 headset thats not cracked and make a really nice jack, but for now the ghetto jack works perfectly.

Ok here are some really bad pics of this ghetto headset jack and the H2 headset. I will be making another jack out of a headset that hasn't been chewed up and broken by a bloodhound, and it will not have black tape thrown all over it to hold it together! Sorry about the incredibly large pics.

The submini jack from radioshack.

The broken 360 headset connector fixed and resoldered to said jack.

The new connector with plantronics headset plugged in.

It all works great, but looks crappy. Next time I am using my dremel and making it look better.

Its for my brother anyways! His dog chewed his headset up...

Here is a little mod I did last night. Now I can use any headset I want. \o/

http://www.ukcnn.co.uk/CommunicatorConversion.pdf

you can use a 2.5mm jack that you can buy at most any electronics shops like Circut City or Radio shack. Or use the 2.5 jack from the original xbox1 headset dongle as seen in the guide like I did. Datel also make's one thats pre made that you can order online or pick up at your local Best Buy or circut city.

It connects to the controller but it doesn't mention if it's with a wire or not.. so technically speaking it could still be wireless over wifi :+

Yea the guide I posted is minus all the tape action :P . It was a nice clean snugg fit and looks and works pretty damn good.
