Following up on the not-so-useless news from C4Lukin (http://www.xboxic.com/news/1312#more-1312).

Why don't we post the first unofficial XBLA top 10?
That would certainly be a great help for those upcoming 5 million users (see Gaming 360 news (http://www.gaming-360.com/archives/1148)).

think you need a nice tracking tool for at least 100.000 users for that.

Those numbers will be close to the real numbers but they will be over counted as you can play the full game of an xbla even if you haven't brought it if you are on the original console and hard disk that it was downloaded to or if you have someone who has brought it who is logged into live on the console you are trying to play on.

My kids share my xbla games so all of my brought games are counted three times by C4Lukin.

No I mean sales from the start. To give an indication to what are the most popular XBLA games (and actualy it's not 5 million, but 10 expected before June 2007).
On the accuracy issue, I agree with DM2, but it balances out the fact that you can also purchase the whole game and not appear in the leaderboards (ie: always playing a weird mode that does not account for the 'general' boards).

The big drawback are early games. Take Bankshot billards for example, there is no way to get to the bottom of the list but to scroll down. I gave up yesterday :'(

I'd love to see the XBLA wall of fame with total downloads!!

I still think it's the only way we have to get some sort of popularity ranking, unless someone has another lead?

Stats would be cool. But only useful to those wanting to make games for the Arcade.
