bought halflife 2 for xbox to run on my 360 and it gets to a loading screen then the screen goes black and my 360 locks and can only be sorted out by switching off... So what I'm asking y'all is does it need taking back or is this known about or what??. It is B/C but all my others work fine. It is prepwned.

I bought it as well for 360 because its backwards compatible. But mine works but it's also new. So it's either your box or ya have a bad disc, may be best to try another disc.

offtopic Rival24 ur gamerscore is sick buddy, ur either a videogame diva or have a lot of freetime to play xbox :D kudos.

Rivals score is good, but i saw someone with a score of a little more than 24,000...talk about nuts lol.

OMG!! Now that IS sick them guys must have all the 360 games and completed most/all of them!!!

Checked Halflife2 dvd in the daylight no major scratches, blemishes, or marks, guess its back to GAME with it ¬_¬

Well we've interviewed the #1 on our frontpage if you're interested :)

On HL2, I honestly have no clue why it wouldn't work for you but does for the rest of the world. Swapping in for a new one sounds like a good option :)

I couldn't play HL2 on backwards compatibility, it was really jerky. There's been another b/c patch for it recently though, maybe it's better now.

wsell its a little jerky, but at least in plays where as he cant get it to play at all.

Back on topic and to reveal the secret!!!

YOUR XBOX 360 HAS TO BE SET TO 50HZ TO RUN THE GAME, IT WILL NOT PLAY AT 60HZ (I had the same problem a couple weeks ago.)

To do this on a high-def TV. Simply switch it at the back, to turn it it back to normal settings then go to the system blade.

Yeah, I got fustrated aswell, bu a simple pissing around with the machine always sorts things out.
