Automerged Doublepost

What's your thoughts? Good or bad?

If you've no idea what I'm on about... these have started appearing since the last forum update. If you post twice in quick succession, the forum automatically merges them into one message. Which I suppose is neater, and stops post boosting, but... hey! Stop taking control of my messages! Maybe I did them separately for a reason!

"Automerged Doublepost" sounds like a good Googlewhack (http://www.googlewhack.com) though ;)

It's not a feature of the new forumsoftware, it's a plugin I installed pretty soon after the upgrade ;)

Main question is: what valid reason is there to waste space by having a bunch of subsequent posts separated instead of neatly combined :)
