I voted hell no. I have been accused of being a Xbox fan boy several times, but I have never really had much interest in any PS system since the first one. There aren't any games for the PS3 that I am really interested in, and the price tag doesn't help. The Wii I will most likely get, it has sparked an interest in my brain. Now all I have to figure out is should I get Call of Duty for the 360 or for the Wii? decisions decisions

Funny story so i go to my local Best Buy looking for crap to spend my gift cards on. While walking around i come across a pallet of PS3 maybe 5 feet tall. Forced into my path like some used car sales man with signs all over it begging people to buy them. So i pick one up to feel the weight and i realize they are coved in dust and i start to laugh. No one wants them its funny how they have to jam them into your path just to get them to notice them. So i put it down and shuffle past them and find myself down the Nintendo isle. Hoping to get lucky and stumble across a WII and low and behold i do. And thus brings me to how i got my WII. And not the crap that stores are now forced into jamming them into your path to get someone to notice them so much that you have to almost alter your direction of travel to get around them.

If there's anything Sony is really good at, it's devising new ways to take your money. The new PS3 firmware that was released this morning, version 1.5, includes support for swiping your credit card right into your console. Yes, video game consoles have gotten so nickel and dimey that it makes sense to have a credit card reader built right in. What the hell is going on?

Luckily for my blood pressure, this update is Japan only… for now. If it catches on there you can be damned sure that Sony won't hesitate before trying to sell us this new "feature." Here's an idea, Sony: let people buy games and enjoy them without having to constantly pay extra. You never had to pay for extra levels in Super Mario World, after all.

At 1st I was goning to get one, but after the terrible launch, and the lack of games i am leaning towards the 360. also, VF5 was the one game that would have had me sold on it, but since the 360 will be getting it, that is one more point towards the XBOX.

Also, I'm just not concerned about blu-ray. I am sure it's better for games as far as memory and storage, but I don't see them with many good games that I care to get. And as far as movies, again, I am just not that intrested. Not right now anyways. Plus, I doubt I would want to use my gaming system as my DVD player. That didn't go to well with the PS2 and my brothers XBOX.

My other reason was to get it because it played all my old PS1 and PS2 games, but I started thinking, why not just keep my PS2?

I don't reall ylike they new controller. I actually like the PS2 controller better. I like the 360 controller better.

As far as online gaming, I already know that XBOX is a better choice. I don't mind paying for it either, especially seeing as it's not really that expensive at $59.99/year. Which comes out to about $5.00/month. Also, most of my friends are on XBOX Live so it only makes since to go with it.

So, it looks like I will be getting a 360 soon. I will be sticking around here though to learn more about it, the games, XBOX Live, etc....

I actually prefer the PS2 controller as I can play any type of game on it easily. The shoulder buttons are perfect where they are and I like the button layout.

But....

The PS3 controller, to me, sucks. I messed around with it at BestBuy with my nephew and the L2 and R2 buttons felt like they were slanted and like my fingers were going to slip. Also, it kinda feels smaller than the PS2 controller. It might be because I have big hands(I am 6' 9" tall), but my nephew said the same thing, and he's about 5' 6".

So yea, I really don't like the new PS3 controller. If I could use my PS2 controller on the PS3 that would be a lot better for me.

just a little question I've had my 360 for 2 years now, i was just wondering with the PS3 having its euro launch next month, which will be better? 360 or PS3 mainly in terms of graphics as the harware is so similar and the main thing i care about is graphics. I only ask as im worried that the PS3 will be better and ill end up having to fork out £500!!! lol
