Games ... for the PS3

So what are your launch day must have games (why), and then after the first year(& why)?

Well let's see. Here's my list that I've been putting together since E3.

-zip (launches on November 16)
-zero (launches on November 16)
-zilch (launches on November 16)

- Devil May Cry 4 (for obvious reasons)
- Heavenly Sword (for obvious reasons)
- Warhawk (Flying GTA with air combat ftw)
- Metal Gear Solid 4 (would be my first MGS :o)
- Tekken 6 (I always wanted to have a console that could play Tekken, playing it on my PSP now but I want to play it with friends on a TV)
- Virtua Fighter 4 (fighting games ftw)
- Mercanaries 2 (military GTA ftw)

Those are the only ones so far, I know Sony is going to push Resistance: Fall of Man as the reason to own a PS3 but I'm not feeling the whole dark-environment-with-aliens-first-person-shooters stuff.

If its your first MGS, i look down upon you :o. But yeah MGS4 is the one game i want and its not a launch title so i can wait :)

I played 1 and 2 but never got around to finish them and I never owned a SONY console until I bought my PSP... :o

Ah then fair enough then :) BUT MGS1 is on NGC and 2 is on Xbox too ;) but i will let it go....THIS TIME :o

Anyway i was considering DMC4 but i havnt played 3. Need to get round to it tbh. I played 1 and fawking loved it but i hated 2.

Im most excited for DMC4, awesome series, my favorite on Playstation. And MGS4 looks good too :D

I have high hopes for heavenly sword. Not that I'm buying a ps3 anytime soon just for this game.. It will be ported anyways ;)

Exactly, and that's why I'm not going to buy one real soon just for a game that has only been rumored or shown in CG form.
