What games coming out at the Wii launch have made your "gotta have it" list and then the following year of games announced? (what and why)

- Mario Galaxy (it's-a Mario, duh)
- Project H.A.M.M.E.R. (swinging your hammer with your wii-mote ftw)
- Wii sports (party games, awesome)
- Super Smash Brothers Brawl (party games, awesome)

-Mario Galaxy
-Twilight Princess

I hope the devs don't base their whole budget on how many ways we can swing the wiimote around. We also want gameplay other than swordfights and swinging things.
Imagine Dead Rising on the Wii. Swinging that shit around, that could've been fun.

I'm only buying because of Mario Galaxy.. If other good games will come I will buy if they're any good :)

Resident Evil Wii and Super Smash Brothers Brawl. I must say that I have no idea of launchdates and that sort of stuff.

I was shocked by the photos of CoD3 using 2 Wiimotes though to mimic holding a rifle or submachine gun. That was beyond cool.

Yeah, but you know what I mean? Let them get over the fact that you can use the wiimote to swing around, so they can start creating games with the motion sensory as an afterthought so it'll seem more natural, instead of based all around something you can do with the controller.
We don't have an 'A button' game on the xbox 360, because everyone accepts it as part of the controller. I just want this to happen on the Wii.

Man games with the Wiimote as an afterthought? That'll suck. I just hope they can keep making great games with the Wiimote in mind from the get go, not making it some stupid last-minute gimmick.

How many more people are going to be using the classic controller over the Wiimote?
a lot.
just wait and see.

Chris; I don't think the classic controller is an option. Certain games are going to use the Wiimote, certain games are going to use the classic 'pad. I don't see why devs should make two control schemes for one game.

So i'm going to HAVE to wiimote it for twilight princess? I think the wiimote will be fun for a while, but i think the newness will wear off, and i'll just want to press the A button.

Well you can always get the Gamecube version of the Twilight Princess... I think NGC games are going to be compatable with the classic pad.
