Want to play your original xbox games on your new Xbox 360?
Backward compatibility on the Xbox 360 is done through software*
Let Circuit City install it for you
For just $28.99
What are the benefits to playing original Xbox games on my Xbox 360 console?
• Every game* will be playable in high definition.
• Every original Xbox game* will be upscaled to 720p and 1080i, and will take advantage of Xbox 360's anti-aliasing capabilities, delivering a picture that is clear and crisper than anything available on Xbox.
*Refer to the original Xbox games list to ensure compatibility on the Xbox 360.

It might be worth trying to uncover the facts & figures on this , how long they have been doing it and how many unwitting people have been duped by this scam.

they will probably get away with it because it specifically says "let us install it for you" and not "buy the BC from us." people dont get in trouble for charging to fix pc's or anything, and all you are paying for here is the service, not the software.

Now I dont get this, because every game has to install its own b/c. So how do they do it for all the b/c games. Is there a way to have it all updated at once?

Idiots have been selling B/C discs for ridiculous amounts on eBay I think? Faintly remember seeing some going for over 30 bucks actually. Self-burned CDs with a downloaded ISO.... 8)7

I must be dumb, cause I'm still not catching on this at all. I dont see how they have this on disc and how would it cover all games. I only get promted to download the BC for the game I put in.

You can download an .ISO file from the Xbox.com website, burn it onto a CD and then insert it into your Xbox 360 so it installs every BC update. This is for people without access to Xbox Live.

Plug your xbox 360 hard drive in hey presto! Your games will work!
Thats how it goes in the UK, the 20gb HDD comes with the upgrade on!
OR you can download from xboxlive.com (as someone else mentioned)
If all else failed they are going for .99p on ebay.co.uk in England!
You guys are getting your pants pulled down for these prices!

You can still get on the interweb with dial-up. The file isn't too big to download if I remember correctly.
