Overpriced junk, build your own PC; you'll have a cheaper but way more powerfull rig.

Thats a dragable desktop, not a laptop. If you put that thing on your lap you can forget about sex fot the next few weeks, which is not good.

No, you can forget about getting children for the next few weeks, which is good :Y)

Build your own PC. If you look around you can find alienware cases, so people will think you have an alienware, and you will sort of, but if will be exactly what you wanted for a lot cheaper.
But, if you don't want to build, I suggest www.widowpc.com
they make good stuff, at a better proce than alienware...

I never understood people who are willing to pay 50% more only for 'design'.

Some might say that to me for being a Mac user, but you dish out the extra for more than a cool looking computer.

The apple apps, the support, the quality, the OS! You can run Windows on a Mac, but you can't run Mac OS on a PC.
Rival24
October 9th, 2006, 15:25
So what programs do you use on your Apple that you can't get on Windows?
acromyth
October 9th, 2006, 15:27
All of the apps made directly by apple, but it doesn't matter if they were all on Windows, I like the way Mac OS works. The interface. I don't like dealing with Windows. It's just easier to use a Mac. It's not like I don't know how to use Windows, I can use it better than most, but I save time by using a Mac. It's just preference.

I have an Ipod, that's as far Mac as I go.

Overrated. It's in your pocket 90% of the times (at leas with normal people) and it doesn't offer better functionality than any other mediocre MP3 player.

Open Source sucks for the desktop. This site runs entirely on LAMP open source stuff though, apart from vBulletin ;)

Windows Vista RC2, which I currently using as a main OS, works perfectly. And it runs smoother than a Mac on my Duo Core processor.
Mac < PC

You know how many dollars I save this way :P
Also, Windows is more usable than Linux, Linux is less hacked than Windows. Which makes Linux a better candidate for servers, simple as that. I'm a trained sysadmin for both, and they both suit very different needs :)

Curry

They'd say Linux is cool for desktops and laptops too though, which is a ridiculous statement ;)
