With no fanfare, Ultimate MK3 has popped up on the Live Arcade.

October 20, 2006 - Without any sort of announcement from Microsoft, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 has been put up for download on the Xbox Live Arcade. It comes at an odd time, this being Friday, as Xbox Live Arcade games are usually released on Wednesdays. Still, the game is currently available for purchase at the cost of 800 Microsoft Points ($10 USD).



The download comes in at 43.62 MB and features multiplayer gaming for 2-4 players. Hurry and download it so that you can begin playing with Stryker, the worst character to ever appear in a videogame. We kid…sort of.

Update: Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is no longer up on the Live Arcade. Looks like it was a mistake. We'll have more on Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 as the situation becomes clearer.

It disconnects me from live when I start the game and it looks like I can play the offline part without restrictions. Could select all characters and stuff.

Wow, it still is an amazing game, Reptile is now my fave, coz I remember his cobo's very well. I'm struggling remembering tha FATALITY's or any FINISH HIM move though.

First thing I remembered about the game was the 8 hit combo sheeva can pull off. Just press X X A A Y Y B B :) (or was it X X A A B B Y Y :? )

There's an achievement for fighting someone called Noob and if you fight him you get it , I read you only do it after doing that number 3 gig.

And yesterday late after a hour or so I took out the horse dude Motaro and shao khan too ! ^_^

Told you I could do it but now I see fatalities everywhere ... plus I went against the noob but he kicked my ass , go figure . :P

Noob Saibot is one tough motherfucker, I could only hit him once or twice :D

Any hints on what to do against Shao Kahn? His gay green fireball, and shoulder barge are just stupid. I use CYRAX and net him, 6 hit combo him, and when he does the high knee charge, I upper-cut him but I always get r-a-p-e-d.

I use my lame Sub-Zero moves (Forward, down, low punch) and give him an uppercut (hold down, high punch) afterwards. Just try to keep your distance and when he does his charge thing (up in the air) you can give him a nice little uppercut as well.

I think that's part of the problem. Since Midway always used mocap with real people, any graphical comparison looks retarded.

I used sub zero too but when he fired a fire ball I just jump and low kick him , then when he comes towars me running he gets frozen + a upper punch trip to the moon . If I see him jumping just stand there and then upper punch .

Hope it helps and freezing is either down forward with lower or upper punch .

BUT! THE FUCKING GAME CRASHED ON ME WHEN I WON! I was nearly in tears, took me soooo long to do it (a good hour!)

When you complete the game you can pick a reward, Noob's in the third box.

I told you when you finish it the game thinks a reward is choosing someone new to fight with so hit the number 3 box and you get the mighty noob .

Ahhhhhhhh fuck it! It crashed on the ending screen, just after achievement unlocked came up.
Just won 10 online ranked online matches, you get a free gamer pictire for doing that!

I also did a friend-ship online. Smoke's HORN from the chest, only 2 achievements to go. Beat Noob and win 100 ranked. 74 of them to go!

I honestly cant do any of them yet but I shall do it , problably not this week because my 360 kick is tarnishing my assignments . :)

Whoa were did you find the time for so many matches mate , I usually get annoyed on that game after losing to a S or A so just turn it off !

How about scorpion? down, down, up, highkick. It's the 'remove mask, scare and flame' fatality. This one can be performed with the analog stick if you like.

EDIT: or an even easier one with no movement needed. Jax' Giant Stomp: run, block, run, run, lowkick (from far away)

I just played an online match and it unlocked ranked 100 wins, though I've only won like 30... Just noob now then I finished UMK3.

When fighting Shao Khan its best to use Lui Kang, just shoot low fireballs and he nearly always does a flying uppercut, all you have to do then is wait for him to fall and upper cut him.
