NO basically thats why they release models for each country to make a profit and stop gamers saving otherwise they would lose money on each console they sell

I wish Microsoft would treat us like they treat Japan. We can't even get a price cut after a year of release, and look at what Japan has to pay for an Xbox 360. $240? For the premium? It may even be cheaper than that, and that's pretty dumb.

No they do have the region settings embedded in the system. You can connect it via a power converter, but it will still only play games fit for NTSC/J.

You're exactly right. I could buy a premium 360 here bundled WITH Blue Dragon (When it comes out obviously) and only spend $250. But they really want Japan, so it's understandable. Wireless controllers only run you back around $30 here.

That's understandable, but come on. It's just retarded. We can't even keep one $400 machine running. You think Microsoft gives a shit? Nope. They can't take a tiny loss by making our systems $349, but they can stockpile them up in Japan? It costs just as much to manufacture a Japanese Xbox 360 as it does an American one.

Life's unfair, get used to it. Us Europeans guys and especially guys in the UK are screwed over way more.

In Microsoft's eyes it makes more sense to take a loss and try to appeal to the Japanese gamers. In America and anywhere else for that matter, they can easily sell it at the current price. I already have mine, and I'm glad they will keep the 360 at that price.

I know it's cheaper in Japan. That's my whole argument.
