Well, at the risk of sounding more than a little holier than thou: we are approaching the holiday season where there are many people less fortunate than us that don't have the money for food let alone $500 gaming systems and who are going without food, or lying in the cold streets at night. Consider giving the money to a shelter or to your local food bank, as they are truly worthy causes.

Or if you don't believe in the food bank/shelters, find a grassroots organization that you believe in and support them.

I want nothing more than to burn a $100 bill, because I can. But have I ever done it? No, because 15 random strangers near me, 15 friends near me... all place a greater value in that $100 than I do, and would use it to its greatest potential.

Dude, this a completely　seperate thing to charities. Anytime I buy something I'm a douche for not giving money to charity?? Makes sense. I suppose you will give away all your money and pocessions to charity cause you sound like you hold yourself and everyone to saint standards. I realize the PS3 was destroyed, but he bought it so he can do whatever he wants with it. I just don't think they should be attack for doing this. I agree with your sentiment, but that's a bit of a broken analogy. A lack of a PS3 won't cause anybody any harm, wherease presumably a lack of a vaccine would.

When the PS2 first launched, Sony demanded that all games on the system be enhanced visually over their rival platform counterparts. The PS2 represented the next generation of gaming, and software was required to support this notion. With the PS3, Sony seemingly has no such requirements, offering us only that it "expects and encourages publishers working on PS3 titles to take full advantage of the technology and features that PS3 provides." Well, encouraging may not be enough. And promises for better looking games in the future don't really cut it. The PS3 is here now, it costs an extra $200 (at minimum), and the visual difference is questionable.

twas a bit lame...some people are wayyyy too "no im a x-box fan i must hate playstation and anything sony make" we arnt the ones fighting the console wars, its the companies. so many people knock ps3 when they havnt even tested it out for themselves, true lots of games that were supposed to be ps3 exclusive are coming over, and makes the need for the console a little more pointless...but dont be all like "DESTORY IT BLAH BLAH BLAH" when youve not even played it for yourself, play the ps3, still hate it, fair enough.

OK...this is even more funny! Some computer shops have plastic PS3 cases in the windows...argos for one! It looks like a real PS3 but it doesn't have any insides (I checked) its for pre-order advertising. I tried to get hold of a duff PS3 case from a smaller rival store to GAME. All I need is the casing and a box, put some radio parts inside and smash it all to bits with a sledghammer as I come out of the pre-order que.

I might get arrested tho?

I fully understand what you're going through - that guy irritates the fuck out of me. He just don't get that the most important thing is games...whether I had an xbox360 or PS3, max2663 - Tigerwoods golf will be no different, Need for Speed will be no different, Call of Duty 3 will be no different. All the same levels with perhaps slight visual differences somewhere. Both consoles have the same games (near enough) it's just fortunate the xbox360 came out first and was the cheaper option. If the PS3 came out first and was the cheaper option...Im sure myself and a lot of others would have bought that and thought fuck the xbox360.
