Over the past few days I have noticed twice that an Xboxic Forum page redirected me towards a blue page advertising ErrorSafe scam with a number of popups and the like. This advertisement is not legit and we are currently looking into getting it removed.
The ErrorSafe owners are well known malware developers who continuously buy advertising campaigns on ad networks under new company names. First they get legit banners approved, after which stealth code is activated which redirects a viewing user to their homepage. Unpatched browsers may then even automatically install the malware, or you may be tempted to install their software. If ErrorSafe has been installed on your computer, you will see regular fake warnings pop up while browsing the internet, while in reality it's trying to scam you out of money for buying a full version. Our ad providers are looking to identify and disable the perpetrators, meanwhile I have disabled banners on the forum.
