Does anyone actually like the "chrome" strip on the Premium 360?

After reading the the "What 360 system did you buy?" and seeing the general level of disdain for the Core pack, I have to ask this.

Do any of you actually think the "Premium" console looks good?

It looks cheap as fuck in my opinion, and I actually refused a premium a week after launch and waited another week because I think it is so horrible :X

My opinion of the two PS3 packs is exactly the same. The fake chrome looks shit, not classy.

Premiums were only available when I bought mine, but I'd still choose the premium anyway. You save money with the wireless controller, headset, and hdd included. I was going to have to buy that shit anyway, so if you could save $35(ish) why the hell not? I also got the free remote at launch. Do I really care about the chrome drive plate? No.

I couldn't give a toss about the drive plate either, makes no difference when you're playing a game.

the green box for the other one didnt agree with me I prefer my white simple box anytime. But Im happy ti have been given a premium because as Crhis says its got everything needed and it saves up quite a lot of money !

As for the chrome it definetly looks nice but I never noticed it until you said it now . :P

think he is referring to the fact that you paid another £20 based on the colour of a bit of plastic, so he might have a point.

I rather like my chrome strip, think it looks better than the white plastic tray. Although I am still waiting for the white concave George Foreman Grill to appear on the market.

yeah its better than the white plastic bit - cos with the white plastic none of the add on faceplates look good - they all look shit, but the chrome bit on the premium makes em look fine

thats what i think. i also think that finding one little detail on the premium that you dont like will not justify the purchase of a core, so quit trying. (if, in fact, you did buy a core on purpose. if not, sorry.)

i prefer it it looks a bit cleaner and i dunno "I Love Gold... sorry Chrome" it works with more faceplates and it was a saving for me 2 get the premium so asthetically and financially its better... PS3 is 2 damn shiny get ur fingerprints all over it have same prob with my psp

It doesnt bother me. Hell my 360 could be made out of tin foil and scotch tape and i wouldnt care. As long as it worked, but then again im not a person that would reject a 360 cause im to vain for fake chrome.

I had to get a core at launch as they ran out of the premiums even though I had pre ordered months ago...

Anyway, I bought the HD, component cables etc seperately and it did cost a little more, but now I have that all there is no difference between mine and a premium unit. The tray makes NO DIFFERENCE.

All well, I'll just live with it as painting a console is a bad idea. I painted a xbox once and it did not end well. :(

well u see the whole chrome "bling" actually is meant to go with the guilding of the HDD so the core has no HDD so no chrome disc tray makes sense really
