Alien vs Predator

Been playing the MP demo for a good few hours now. The first hour or so i wasn't overly impressed, but once you get the hang of each species and figure out what best suits your playstyle, wow. Loving this game. It was only a maybe at first, but i'm getting this on launch day without a doubt.
If you played the demo for a game or 2 and didn't like it, try again, give it a bit of time. Get used to the control system. Worth while game.

Is it multiplayer only, or is there going to be a single-player game in the full release?

Yeah there is a single player for all the Types and lots of Achievements for the single player campaigne anyone going to be on this demo this weekend???

I havent given it a try yet but want to!

I want to try it, but I just hate downloading stuff - they should put these demo's in Xbox Magazines and time it with online/Magazine release. I liked the olden days of put in a demo disc & play...

I'd rather pay £5 something for it on a disc than wait for a download to finish!

And wow that game is shit. The graphics are horrible. Played as all three types and still, this felt as clunky as anything I've played recently. Off to try BF 2 now...

All you people that didn't like it, how long did you actually play as each species? Cause i understood the whole "annoying controls" argument, for about half an hour, when you've played for a while as each species and got used to the controls for each, theres really nothing wrong with them... I really don't see what theres not to like once you get the hang of things, the graphics arnt AMAZING on the demo, but its an amazingly dark map. I really think its simply a matter of a relatively steep learning curve... Many of my friends didn't like the demo at first, but after 45 minutes or so of playing a few games with me explaining how to do certain things they really started to like it, it changed from a no-go to a release day buy for a couple of friends.

Anyway, i urge you guys to try find someone you know that has played the game a bit and understands how to use each species properly, get them to play with you and help you out a bit. I honestly think theres a pretty good game there, the learning curve just makes it seem worse than it is...

It's shit. When you're used to the quality of CoD, this comes nowhere near to competing with it. I'm a massive FPS fan, this is awful. I've already deleted the demo. I probably played for 30 mins or so, that was enough.

Big blockbuster games always ruin other games for a while, the big main games that everyone buys, everything seems like shit in comparison for quite some time, shouldn't be the case though. Though i used to be like that too. I couldn't play anything else but Gears 1 for months when it first came out, everything else seemed terrible.

You played for half hour, so that would be 3 games maximum, no way you had enough time to get used to each species. My friend had the EXACT same opinion of the game as you do now when he had played 3 games, that changed after he actually played long enough to get used to how different each species is and how they all work. You probably just about got the basics of each.

I have gut instincts - be it right or wrong, I can take one look & just know if it's something I could play. I couldnt play this, and Im disappointed with BF BadCompany 2 as well, I just know I couldnt play that either.

The problem for me is too used to Call of Duty...and I played for less than 30 mins, it took me 10

I get that sort of thing too. I wish I didn't. It would be nice if I didn't have to fight myself to try something different.

Exactly. I will never play this game. It's just horrible. 30 mins was more than enough for me.

apologies offtopic - but seems to be new people coming here to post in the Gears Movies Front Page news from months & months ago... also new people in the MW2 Cheaters Front Page, I've tried encouraging conversations for them to come back. Any big news I think I will put links to continue conversations in the forums, may get some new members.
