Ok, so I got my Wii today....

It really cool, and great fun but why did they not include an ethernet port on the console itself? Ive had no problem connecting my 360 wirelessly but I have always has issues connecting Nintendo consoles online (DS etc). I get the same error on my Wii as I do on my DS when trying to connect wirelessly.

Anyway I hear they are bringing out a USB ethernet adaptor in the near future which will solve my problem.

If it makes you feel any better the online stuff is currently rubbish, not 1 game worth downloading... i imagine thats especially true for Europe...

I spend all day long trying to find a Wii somewhere,
I've been to every store that could possibly sell it in Rotterdam,
I've even went to the Makro in Delft but all without luck.
Hope to get one soon though.

I'm just finished a huge session and i absolutely love it

played Zelda for about 3 hours, so far it's an amazing addition to the series(i don't want to give away any spoilers) but only time will tell if it can better the mighty Ocarina.

Wii Sports is good, far better and deeper than i expected

Monkey Ball is also good but the control takes a bit of getting used to and a lot of the mini games are really good but some of them are complete crap

at first i was'nt sure whether to connect it to my router just incase i got a bad update but eventually bit the bullet and everything went smooth

all in all i'm really impressed by the Wii and the games i got, now if only i could get a component cable it would be perfect

ordered mine directly from nintendo.com. definitely worth it. i think the mad catz one is out now too? so you can maybe find that at stores, but i believe it's more expensive than nintendos? (which is weird).

Yeah but unfortunately i live in rip-off Britain and the only place i have actually seen them for sale is ebay and they're going for up to £70 ($135)
i saw the mad catz one in gamestop's website for $49.99 and the funny thing is mad catz are selling them in their own store for $19.99 clicky

Play-asia has 3rd party component cables for €7 and only a couple of € shipping, that's about 5 pounds or so. The only downside is that you'll have to wait till the 20th when they become available.

Anyyyway (enuf of the crying) how are ur parents, little sisters, girlfriends, in other words "otherwise traditional non-gamers" reactions to the wiiii-xperience? Think my girlfriend will like the system, even tho she doesnt game at all, except for playing pokemon on vacation

Im still trying to get mine to connect to wiiconnect24 but having no luck, same problem on my DS so I think its a nintendo thing as my 360 and all other computers connect to the net no problem.

OK, i just managed to connect online with my wii via my Nintendo Wi-fi USB connector. if you want to swap friend codes like you mentioned on the 360 the other day let me know?
