Personally, my favorite (also rated pretty well by critics) BC games are doom 3, red faction 2, ssx 3, simpsons hit and run, and if you can get it really cheap crimson skies is ok.

Shenmue 2
Halo 2
Outrun 2
Spartan total warrior

Awww most of these games cant be played on a 360 , bummer sorry guess from the list I can remember halo 2 , jade empire and ninja gaiden will eat hours of your time.

Here are a couple that I would suggest, too bad none of them are BC. As far as the ones that are BC go:

Hulk's Ultimate Destruction, Ninja Gaiden, Soul Calibur II, Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit), Jade Empire, SSX3, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 and KOTOR 2.

I might be forgetting a few and I still havent played Psychonauts yet but this should be enough to fool around with till Lost Planet comes out.

Im still waiting that they sort out Brothers In Arms road to hill 30 and BiA Earned in Blood now they are good games i remember doing a comparision between the Xbox and PS2 version they xbox version was better in everyway even to the amount of gore i.e when a Nazi was his with a direct tank blast he would probably have lost a limb which never happened in the PS2 version

Definetely Forza 2 if you're into semi-realistic racing games. Ninja Gaiden, Halo2 are other things that come to mind...

I would recommend Otogi - Myth of demons and Outrun 2. Not sure what kind of games you prefer but these two are two games I enjoyed playing and are not "big titles which everybody knows".

Pariah sucked. Hard. Never reviewed it, although I received a copy of it. In the end I think Atari didn't mind at all.

Halo: CE and Halo 2 of course.
Otherwise you can't go wrong with the KOTOR series.
um....other than that theres really nothing worth buying at this point.
