Video of IPTV!

It's looking great, what are the costs? At the moment I am paying 16 Euro's a month. In a month new provider is there for 8 Euro. Anything close to that I'll take it with HD content! ANd get a 2nd 360 for my other TV!

This just further shits on the argument that the Xbox 360 is a gaming console so we don't need an internet browser. Come on guys, make it a download.

I see a big difference between an internet browser (open to content/webbrowsing/interactive computing) and watching a movie or TV in addition to playing games.

I mean, in a living room on a big screen I want to game and afterwards to get the frustration of Gears MP out of the system watch a movie or a favorite TV show. That's all ment to be in the living room on the screen that the family uses. Browsing I'd rather do on my laptop. Could be in the living room, could be in the hobbyroom on the computerdesk.

So browsing or video/IPTV are two different things in my opinion

I agree, it is different. On the other hand though, I love browsing on the Wii. I love watching youtube and any other video host that uses flash. It's really nice.

There's so many community things that people do with Xbox Live. There's countless websites out there that integrate gamertags and stats that it'd be pretty sweet to see what people would do with browser support.

just my opinion.

There have been more than a few times where i've had to turn on my computer just a show a friend a youtube video when the tv and 360 were already on. The question is why not i guess? Everyone else is doing it... will people point and laugh because you hopped on the bandwagon?

Ofcourse different people, different needs. I had an original XBOX with linux and browsing on it, which was a fun project, but still I'd rather surf on my laptop.

Watching YouTube is allright I guess but I don't know if it's in the same frame of playing games, watching regular TV and movies. Ofcourse there are community things about XBL. On the other hand, I like the way XBL is what it is. Enough info for me there!

One could always wish more. You can turn the lights on with the computer, why not with the 360? You can run Linux/Windows any other OS on the computer why not on the 360 (see the wrong way the PS3 is going, loosing it's focus on a real strategy by saying it does all) etc etc.

So if one says: "The others have it, why not include it in 360?", I'll say to: "If someone jumps of a high bridge, do you follow blindly?". THere will always be people that would like integration of stuff. I'm not sure about it. I don't want to lay on a couch with much more then a controller to play my games. If I'd had a keyboard and a mouse around added to that I wouldn't find it much relaxing grabbing all the stuff constantly. Plus: like I said, had it on my original XBOX but haven't used it at all actually.

On the other hand, why not? If you want to use it, use it and otherwise you won't. Well yeah maybe then.
