Default All in favour for new forum rules

As the popularity of this site is growing, we're getting more people joining, which is cool.

But I'm noticing that a rather disturbing thing is occuring, people are joining and making complete and utter shit threads.

I know it's not a bad thing really, but it's just silly, so I say- If it can be done - that Junior Members can only create one thread, and when they get higher they can then create more threads, thus eliminating stupid threads made by the same person.

Another thing that gets on my tits is Duplicate Threads. There must be 100000000 threads about "What you want to see on XBLA."

So, I say that when someone goes to make a new thread, the 'Search Thread' question should be prompted, just to make sure.

Anyway, that's my rant over. (I've had like 6 hours sleep since Monday night, I'm stupidly edgy at the min.)

it doesnt bother me as much because i tend to stay away from "whatchu want" type threads anyway. but if nothing else, as a senior member myself, your suggestion of only 1 thread would be funny.

 spoiler:
new rule: anyone with a wrong opinion should be thrown to the wolves.

Im guessing useless threads are created by old and new users...whats useless for one person is interesting for another. I tend to only really participate in the top 10 listed on the news/home page...

If there were any rules. I'd say for 16yrs and older members only

If that did come to pass, I'd have to leave the forum.

Personally, I like the idea that someone mentioned before (can't remember who or where) of having some forums that are only visible by Junior Members, Senior Members and some sort of third member like Elite Members or something.

Ah, it was posted in this thread: http://forum.xboxic.com/showthread.php?t=1337

Yeah thats a better idea. Instead of the 16yrs +, maybe we can vote people out who get on a lot of people's nerves...or I've just watched too much reality TV....but some 14yr olds are obviously more headache than others...but I like the idea of starting threads which you can choose visibility too.

I think that might be the best idea so far, maybe only senior+ members can vote? Just to be sure.

Thats because a rule change would most likely end up letting you meet the all mighty Ban-Hammer.
