What web browser do you use?

Reading this thread put the idea into my head. A poll to see who uses what web browser. I personally use FireFox 2.0 the majority of the time and hence got my vote.

IE over here too, and cause you have the option to let people be able to see who voted or not when you make the poll.

For the frontpage, 53% of visitors use MSIE, 32% use Firefox, 8% unknown and 2.5% Safari, which is huge Firefox lovin' actually

Yeah, the 32% of users using Firefox is great, but the other 68% should realise that this site looks so much better in Firefox.

Well hopefully they're more or less the same And with only a very small number of IE compatibility hacks for a change too

I like the new IE. FireFox is a blast and I use it for compatibility testing but my office requires an active X component to run so I end up just using IE because it is open.

It feels like i have been using Firefox for along time now, i have managed to convert many of my mates into using it, and IE7 so wants to be Firefox but just isn't.

It's W3Schools' own one, meaning they have a disproportionate amount of webdeveloping visitors, hence relatively high rates on alternative browsers. Same goes for our stats I mentioned a bit back, gamers are techsavvy public. If you'd look up stats for sites about gardening or knitting you'd still see 95% IE usage or so.

Internet-wide Firefox usage is about 15% or so last I heard, versus 75% IE (the other 10% are accounted for by Safari, Camino, Opera and Mozilla mainly).

Back in the day I used Netscape for browsing because IE sucked big balls (I'm talking about '10 years and more' ago) but nowadays IE is just as good as any other browser. So I use IE now instead of installing some 3rd party software which makes my slow PC even slower.

I'm not going to make friends here, but gonna say it anyway; Firefox is just like HDMI; overrated.

I installed firefox on my linux XGL partition once, so I've tried it, but couldn't see a difference in site layout.. So what makes the browser so good and how does it make this site look better? Please indulge me so I may change my mind
