Default Nvidia Confirms DX10 Lost Planet for PC

Over at Next-Gen they have a report on this great Xbox360 game that is being Dx10'd for Windows. Although i will not be buying as i have it already, its great to see that my Dx10 capable PC has not been forgotten about. Now is all i need is the Hardware Manufacturers to release some decent drivers (Nvidia,Creative and Razer) and i will be able to look at my PS3/Xbox360 and laugh at there supposed superior power.

Same here dude same here. Although i will say this i can't slow my GTX down with any game, as my monitor only goes upto 1600*1200 every game i chuck at it just runs super smooth at top settings, it really is a beast of a card.

I saw some comparison screens and the PC version looks equal to the 360 version. The Resident Evil 4 PC port sucks but that's done by some shovelware port dev. This is the first PC port Capcom did themselves and it's looking real nice and I'm glad their new multiplatform engine (the one they use for Dead Rising, Lost Planet, DMC4 etc) is looking great across all the platforms. Good for Capcom that they found a way to make money off of the 3 platforms without putting too much effort into the porting. Yay for Capcom.

I think you saw the same ones as I did, and at least the bullet holes were rather more impressive. It's just an evolution of the engine though, stuff they added in the past few months while porting, not a 'display of difference in power between 360 and PC' as the idiots on those forums we found them were claiming

Well just tried the dx10 demo of this and it looks great but not a huge improvement on the 360 version, you will need a hugely powerful machine to run it in max settings at high res. I can just about get it to run at 1600*1200 max settings but i only get 20fps and i have pretty much a top spec PC.

I dont think this is a fair comparison in power as this is without doubt the worst conversion i have EVER seen from console to PC. I had to download SDK .dll files to get the demo to run as they haven't finished the demo properly, also they have still left all the 360 button icons in the game A for Ok, B for Activate and so on, really bad conversion but was nice to finally see DX10 game running on my machine after waiting nearly 6months since i have had a DX10 capable machine.

Another point and one i will always stick by, playing it with a mouse makes the game way to easy just as i expected really as it was designed for a joypad.

Makes me want Crysis even more now.

Yea the performance is just pathetic with the DX10 version. I still have Windows XP installed so I can't try it on my own DX10 card, but judging from what I've seen in this game I'm not going to upgrade anytime soon. The DX9 version runs smooth as butter and doesn't really look bad so I'll just stick to that.
