Gamertag reservation?

Do you guys know if there was some sort of gamertag reservation before the X360 Live service came out? When signing up I wanted to use the gamertag Wom, but this one was already in use. But I keep having the idea that I made sure that noone could use Wom so I made some sort of reservation of the gamertag. Problem is, there is nowhere to be found that this indeed was the case.

I know you all could care less, but otherwise I'm not able to sleep for weeks, and i really need my beauty sleep !

As far as i know no reservations, the only way someone could take the gamertag before you if say you got your 360 launch day, would be if its their gamertag from X-Box live on the original X-Box..

The Xbox.com service was allowing registrations ages before the 360 was launched. I already had my gamertag reserved a month before launch, and yes 'Curry' was already gone by that time.

Ok, thanks for the reactions. No I need to see if in one way or the other im able to retrieve the one i've reserved. Can't imagine anybody else wanting that gamertag

I have had my name for a long time a couple of years at least. So it has followed me thru just about every system i have owned that let me name a save file. plus i even own the .com lol And for a added bonus i got the license plate.

Wow the reflection in the tail light makes me look like i weigh ten billion pounds...

i just picked my gamertag from an obscure song by two stand up comedians/singers that i saw on latenight HBO. it worked pretty well.

I spent ages runnin through names for my gamertag. i didnt want numbers n all that crap. Just had to settle with the name o ma guitar cause my ideas had went short.
I always get asked if i like Formula1 or if i fly planes but its all good.lol
my mate has his gfs full name as his gamertag? silly boy. he gets stalked by random perves wantn to be his friend.lol

I doubt there'll be a change to a 7th.
