Default Virtual CD drives

I just bought a new laptop and i have a couple of games i'd like to install, for example, roller coaster tycoon 2. i would love to have them on virtual cd drives rather than haul around a bunch of game discs. does anyone know of any good programs to do this with? i've been looking around and have gotten nowhere, i dont want to pay for one, i just want a simple freeware tool.

Just don't check the "install loads of spyware" checkboxes during setup.

It has a separate page on the Install Wizard which explicitly says 'Do you want to install all this spyware?' and then actually behaves like you'd want it to according on what you've checked.

As for ease of use: it sits in the system tray doing nothing, and with a right-click you simply get a menu that allows you to load ISO/BIN files into virtual drives. Simple as that.

I used to use a program called "Alcohol 120%". Worked pretty well.

i have windows vista and it's a pain in the ass to find stuff that works with it. after i got the daemon tools, it said i needed a program to dump the cd image. so, i got the trial of alcohol 120 and made an iso file of roller coaster tycoon 2. after that, without having the cd in i still couldnt get the game to even think about starting. so i just deleted all the stuff because it was pissing me off.

If you need a free virtual ISO, Alcohol 52% has a free version out there..

I quit using damon tools when the option to not install crap loads of spyware was grayed out. And continuing with the installation installed crap loads of spyware I swore them off.

Thankfully it was not my machine :p

Download linky for free version of Alcohol 52%

Cheers.
