i have an animated .gif picture in my avatar. why is it not animated? i know curry's is animated but i'm not sure what kind of pic it is.

Well your picture is a JPEG right now, so that explains why it's not moving

Well I have no idea, registered users are allowed to upload animated avatars in the settings and always have been, so I have no idea why yours would be automatically converted to JPEG and thus not move. Can you upload the GIF again to try? And if that fails, please post a link to the image here so I can have a look when I have time.

Well I fixed it by disabling the "resize to fit user's max size" option, but erm could you consider using an icon that doesn't give visitors an epileptic seizure please?

It's too large though, 80x80 is max so it'll have to resize anyway, thus screwing up the animation

I've been looking like mad to disable the resizing but can't find the bloody option, so anigifs are still messy for the time being
