Why the hell havent they fixed the rank problems in Warhawk yet? I will admitt its fun as hell but now I dont even wanna play it until I can rank up. I've been kickin ass in this shit for two days and I'm still a recruit. Plus something ( maybe common sense) tells me I wont unlock any paint jobs or custom body parts for my soldier without advancing in rank. I dont know if its an Incognito problem or a Sony problem, but one of these bitches needs to get this shit fix pronto.

Yeah and I think COD3 was worse when that was released initially, I went to sleep seeing the GAME SESSION HAS ENDED screen before it had even begun, and the Lobby quitting out...

Im expecting it with CoD4 so I wont be disappointed when it happens....

Funny you mention this today, I read over on the official boards on Playstation that they have been working hard to isolate this problem and work out a fix for it. They stated that they even worked through the US long weekend to get to the bottom of the problem.

I'd find the link again but it was through one of my RSS Feeds so I have no chance of getting back to it.

No patch here either, and no problems with ranking. AFAIK ranks are currently not updated in realtime. Seems like once or twice a day.

What most ppl complain about seems to me more like a misunderstanding. It takes a while until the serverlist is completely refreshed and by the time you see a 28/32 server and scrolled down to it approx. 100 other players tried joining that server. You cannot update this list in realtime. It simply doesn't work with 400-1200 servers in your list. It would kill the servers and everyone's connection. But ppl don't usually use brains and actually think before they complain ... so they sit there in front of "old" server info and expect it to be accurate until the end of time.

What Incognito really SHOULD do is bring up more SCE ranked servers. There is a serious lack of ranked games. That would also eliminate the above mentioned brain related problem somewhat.

I haven't had a chance to spend a great deal of time with Warhawk yet so perhaps you can tell me; are all Ranked games dog fights in the air? Every one I joined seemed to be this way (five I tried).

If you think Warhawk's online issues are troubling now, I can't comprehend how you'd have felt during the beta for the game. The first couple of weeks the game froze randomly every few minutes roughly for the entire lot of beta testers.

hilarious that this thread was created on the day that the warhawk developers decided to speak up and attone for their mistakes.

give them some time. they said a fix would be out on thursday for some of the network problems (the random disconnects).

as far as receiving the 'network error' upon trying to start warhawk, just try again. and again. it took me 3-4 tries last night but i got in.

How is this any different than World of Warcraft's authentication servers going down randomly every other month? noone cares about that (i mean they do, but its not game breaking.). It's different in one regard: it will be fixed soon, and never happen again. The 'game is full' errors happen to me about 70% less than before the 1.92 firmware for the ps3.

as far as the game itself? This game is amazing. i haven't had this much fun in an online shooter since Stalingrad in 1942.

Good point about wow. Plus, how long would it take Microsoft to put a patch out if it happened to them? 5 weeks? 6? I'm glad Sony's on top of it.

Naah, any gametype can be ranked. There aren't even that many dogfight servers (like 3 SCEE ranked servers that run dogfight only). Most servers are TDM or cycle through modes.

Btw, sorry for shooting you down the other night ;-) Noticed you were playing, got on your server but .... other team ^^ Couldn't fly worth a dime after playing LAIR tho .... kept trying to bite the other planes
