I attach my computer to my HD-TV via a VGA Cable, it works best and you go right click on the desktop and make the 2nd display device active.
That's how I've done it. I've heard of DVI-DVI, HDMI-HDMI, but not DVI - HDMI ?? edit: just searched and found such a cable..lol,

that's fairly odd, can't you just turn the tv off and on? I have a similar setup but every time i go to that hdmi input it always comes up
. One annoyance I have is that i share my tv's hdmi input between my pc and ps3, so If i start up my computer without the hdmi switched to the tv, the PC will go back to single monitor mode. |
