plz help!!!! my 360 has 3lights come up on it and the picture on my TV is blocky is there a way I can fix it? or summit i can do with out sending it away???????

Its a motherboard problem but if you have modded or opened your console there is some other place you can send it...

If you haven't touched your console at all - you still come under the new 3yr warranty.

don't worry mine took 13 days to get sent and returned so its all pretty quick depending where u live obviously...

register ur xbox on xbox.com before you call tho makes it quicker and u can no if u get ur console back or a refurb

My first one did that with NFS:Most Wanted, then after a few days it only would accept DVD's... I did hear that blowing a hairdryer on a cool setting helps clear dust spots inside if you hold it up with the tray bit open and the xbox turned off.

I had that, started with gears, then as with Jay, only DVDs would play, do what i did, call microsoft and tell them you got the rrod.

Mines started to do that, and on PGR4 it says "disk is unreadable" when loading some races.

I have started to see that "disk read error, please clean or insert into a 360" etc when initially closing the disk tray......after Halo 3 I think. I don't have any in-game issues tho! I am getting fucking sick of worrying about my 360 crapping out. If I change this one it will be my 4th or 5th change I think due to varying issues over the past few years. It is really getting on mt tits now. My PS3 is 100 x more reliable but hasn't got the games or live experience as yet otherwise I would bin the 360 altogether. Its criminal its a fantastic machine with a great gaming library and live service but you spend half your time worrying wether its gonna fuck on on you whenever you play on the bastard thing. Sorry for this turning into a rant but it really is not on.........Microsoft sort out your fucking hardware issues once and for all so us owners can concentrate on enjoying the games.........

Update - thought to myself - I ain't taking the risk on this one crapping out - took it back to the store from which I bought it and they exchanged it for a brand new one. Interestingly its a new premium model, not elite, and has a hdmi port and apparently update hardware - it was manufactured 31/08/07 so fingers crossed with this bad boy.............

I got mine two months after the launch in January (*waves angry fist at the shortages*) and haven't had a problem thus far *also knocks on wood*

My launch one that I bought online at Curry's died after a week or so...but I was fortunate enough to have it replaced by one in the store day after boxing day because I put up bit of a protest. They at first wouldn't give it to me because they said I needed to call MS repairs (all because really with only 3 in stock, handing me 1 is a 1 sale loss in that store) with all the madness over them - I was not leaving and read every sale of goods act notices at them lol...but it worked and I left with one. That lasted me 2005 - May 2007 and although it had a new motherboard, DVD drive & USB it's still only my 2nd console... I was fortunate enough to get the same console back from repairs, but oddly a refund for two console repairs !!

I had the flu at the time, and some type of virus found me. Because I was already sick with the flu, it really fucked me up, and blocked some enzyme from being produced which controls the function of my heart (can't remember the enzyme's name

). To make up for the deteriorating heart function, my body began to send signlas to beat faster. Remeber, I know what happened NOW, looking back, but at the time I couldn't make sense of anything. Anyways, I went to see my doctor, and he almost had a hairy shit.

"DID YOU DRIVE HERE? WHY ARE YOU DRIVING? HOW ARE YOU STANDING? WHAT ARE YOU DOING!???! YOU'RE GOING TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM RIGHT NOW!!!!"

at this point, I remember thinking "Are you kdding me? What's this old guy going on about?"

turns out my resting heart rate was between 180-200 bpm, just standing around doing nothing. It had been like that for about 2-3 weeks by doctor's estimations. I lost 18 pounds of mass (pun fully intended), and spent 3 weeks sitting in a hospital bed asking the Big Man Upstairs a few choice questions. He didn't answer all of them, but he answered a few, so I'll take what I can get.

Anyways, through medication and a procedure called cardioversion, my heart rythm, rate and function were all brought back to 'normal' clinical levels. I'm not where I was before this crap happened (my endurance for running distances is TERRIBLE now), but considering I was told that I shoudl be dead, I'm happy with my progress.
It wasn't fun, and I don't wish that on anyone, at any point of their lives, least of all when they're 22.

Now that I've wasted the last 15 minutes of my day at work, I'm giong home to eat, rest (sooo tired) and relax on the couch.
Maybe I'll see you suckers online tonight.
