We need a big E3 thread!

Speculations, linkdrops, news, rumors etc!

I'll try to get some good info in this post later on. Can someone be so kind to list the times for the big conferences? I only have the CET times:

May 8th : 1AM (CET) Sony
May 9th : 6:30PM (CET) Ninty
May 9th : 8:30PM (CET) MS

Oh and a little statement to get the discussion going : "if MS doesn't show atleast a teaser of Halo 3 it's a bad show for them"

I hope it's going to be one hell of a E3

I'm curious to see what Sony's new console has to offer, and if it's any good.

And offcourse I'm also looking forward to some cool games, like:

Crysis.

Gears of War.

Test Drive: Unlimited.

Halo³, and I'm with Nino's statement :p

Prey.

I need a little help with time zone stuff here. I had to look up what CET was. Looks to be Central European Time. Converting the Sony one to Los Angeles time, that would be at 7:00 am, Monday the 8th. Am I doing something wrong here or should what you have listed be 1AM CET on May 9th??? That would be 7:00 pm LA time on May 8th. I know that the Sony one is tonight, I just don't know when.

I'm from the US. So, I don't usually do any time zone conversions other than the 4 here.

Just thought I'd add my conversion seems to make sense on Nintendo and MS. They would be 12:30 and 2:30 pm LA time.

Most excited to see something about Halo 3 and hopefully some Madden '07 that isn't as abismal as the one they rushed out last year. Maybe some info on Huxley. Kind of curious about Sony and what they are showing, they are running out of time for their launch and have been pretty secretive.

I would not recommend looking at the sony event.

Gamespot already confirmed that FF XIII realtime looks better than the PS3 demo of FF VII.
Also a new realtime MGS4 demo should be on display, kojima said on his blog that it looks better than september 2005 TGS.

But microsoft will show the HD DVD XBox360, that should be neat also.

Anyway fuck this shit, im about to watch it, so download the live demos of e3 and post some screenshots!!

According to the Sony Conference thing on Gamespy (Live video; I watched it):

PS3 Will debut 499 USD with 20 gig harddrive and 599 USD 60 gig harddrive

Their using the Dualshock controller enhanced with 6 degrees of movement (somewhat like the Wii).

PS3 was playable in demos

The guy [was it Kutagari(?)] still says PS3 will give you 4-D gaming.(Someone please tell him there currently is no "4-D"!)

PS3+Wifi+20GB hdd+wireless controller=499 euro
Xbox360+20GB hdd+wireless controller+wifi adaptor=474euro

So you can get a blu-ray drive for 25 euro, that is a bargain!

Also you will have 1920*1080 games, instead of 1280*720.
Plus the games will have graphics like FF XIII.
And! you have motion sensivity, which I dissaprove of.

The multi platform will be the same. Where exclusive titles will really shine.

Unless the xbox360 cuts it's price in half, nobody will buy it when the PS3 is out.

This is my opinion, but take it for granted.

What is microsoft going to show?
a 2 minute halo 3 trailer, xbox live will be free (sucks to be you who invested in a 50 euro card 3 months ago

) Some more chuggy framerated Gears of war. This will question the xbox360 ability to do unreal engine 3, and so on.

Nintendo will show games with graphics like this:

It is too late and tomorrow i will have to watch M:I-3 with some mofos, so i am done now.

Sorry guy but get your facts straight. The following is facts about the 499 USD SKU:

1. No Wifi
2. No MemoryStick /SD/CompactFlash Reader
3.8X DVD Reader
4. 2X BD player
5. No HDMI (No BD movies supposedly)
6. Larger than the Xbox 360
7. Weighs more than the original Xbox(Xbox 7.7 (7.5?) pounds
PS3 is 11 pounds
8. No Rumble

Speculation by me is as follows:
Hardrive connects with 2.5" Serial ATA so does that mean non upgradeable hardive if you don't void the warranty?

Thanks, you're my new favorite poster, pointed everything out that I wanted to point out. How the f*** can you defend Sony with their retarted '6 degrees of freedom'? Have you even seen the conference and especially the bit where the guy plays Warhawk? He can't control it let alone land it...

Well, it have to agree that it truly is a bitch that there is no 'rumble' feature.
This is more important than a six dimension tilt sensor or what it is.

You will have the best games ever, but then i ask:

at what cost?

How will you now feel when you drive into a wall in a racing game?
etc. Not that i ever have this sensation

This truly is a dissapointment.

As for your speculation: it said the harddrive was removable. You can look at a sheet from the conference, there i saw it.

Btw, the dual shock name seems not appropriate anymore.
