is it safet o disconnect my xbox live ethernet cable?

i just got a 3 month subscription for xbox live for my 360, and i have a dog that likes to chew on things. so is it safe to disconnect the cable when ever i am done with it and still keep my subscription?

If you mean disconnect the cable while your using xbox live then be careful. I had a couple of times where I switched the router off while on live and it corrupted my profile after a couple of times!

Damn! Crazy ... I do it all the time. My router crapped out three weeks ago so I've been switching the cable back and fouth from my laptop and XBOX until I get a new router. I haven't had any problems (yet).
