A gamer’s perspective: The Sequel

When I first started to play this game, I thought that I was going to have a lot of fun with this game, but it didn’t turn out that way. Considering that I bought the game for the Xbox360 I was very disappointed. This is a very mediocre game that doesn’t live up to all of the past Tony Hawk games. And this one I can truly say is “The worst skating game ever”.

The games graphics were not updated nor tweaked for the Xbox360 launch, I really freaked out when I started to play this game. I was most definitely disappointed when I played this game, I threw my controller down at the ground so hard when I bought this game for my Xbox360, I was expecting all new and updated graphics that were going to live up to all the Xbox360 graphics hype…Well folks, this game lives up to the exact opposite of the hype.

The gameplay is the same as always, nothing has really changed in that area and you feel that the developers were holding back on all of the Tony Hawk games. Yes people, they still have that stupid “Freak Out” thing, I think it is the dumbest thing I have ever seen added to a game, I honestly don’t see the point of it. If you are a fan of the old, Tony Hawk game gameplay, then you will definitely enjoy playing this game. If you weren’t interested in the past Tony Hawk play, then I don’t think you will have too much fun with this one.

This game really allows you to, customize you skater. They have everything from clothes to tattoos. That is really one thing I like about the game, it gives you freedom to edit you’re skater to you needs and wants. But they only allow you to pick you skater from 5 pre-made characters in the beginning of the story mode, that is a big down fall considering that in the last Tony Hawk you were able to customize you’re player completely…Wow, they are really letting us down.

The online play for this game is really dull. It’s nothing special, you are just playing people online in the same old game modes you could play you’re friends in the last Tony Hawk game. I died from all the little kid playing this game (See the things I do for you guys?), there are just tons of the little 8 year olds playing this game...So for all you people loving to play with a more mature crowd, one again the online is totally not for you.

If you have a regular Xbox or Playstation2, go right ahead and pick this game up. But if you are playing, on the Xbox360 the only good thing about this game is the “GamerScore”. So I do not recommend this game to the majority gamer. I am just really hoping Tony Hawk got a chance to play this thing they call a “game”, I am hoping he had nothing to do with the innovation of the game. The developers of this game need to have a nice break, maybe a couple of beers, because they really need to regroup from this horrific game.

Well if i read some phrases you post in that small review, I'm suprised about the fact that you give the game a 6.1/10.

The 7/10 for graphics is probably only because of the power of the 360 and says nothing really about the game itself. You even wrote that you threw your controller at the ground about the graphics and still you give it a 7/10?

If I globally read your review i'd say you should trow all the scores you gave the game down, or you should give your opinion on where they score those high points. I can't find anything positive in this review, beside your scores

I threw the controller at the ground, because i was expecting better graphics on the Xbox360 version....Xbox(Original) graphics are still good.

That's a little weird don't you think? It wouldn't be fair to review Need for speed: Most wanted for both the Xbox360 and PS2 and give them the same score for graphics for example.

It is when the graphics are exactly the same...There is no graphic change, i am serious. The graphics look totally the same, i have even compared them with my own television.

So that's why the 7/10 for graphics should be lower
