yes i know its been out for months...... but i cant crack it after all this time...
my highest score is 400,000 which is bad but, having looked at leaderboards i am not alone........

my question is this : sometimes i play this game and it seems to like me .... i play well and get a personal good score and all is ok........... other times its like hell has been unleased......i am thinking " jesus what did i do wrong.... why does this game hate me so much..." and i get a very low score.....

i am not aware that i am doing anything different........ so why is the game experience so different.... can any expert give me some advice... is it related to the spaceships maybe ???

hope someone can help!!!!!! still on a miserable 50 gamerpoints for this game!

Maybe typing less dots would help a lot

But really, you aren't that bad. I myself can't even get up to 100.000 points.. still stuck at 65.000 or something.

good point, thanks for making me feel i am quite good at this game but one look at the leaderboard makes me want to cry

haha those people way up in the leaderboard must share a common secret!

I know what the secret is.. Too much free time

It will take more then 8 hours in a row to get to that score. These guys are nuts. (wish i was that nuts

Well, i must admit i have too much free time too

The problem is that if i were to play this game for 8 hours then i would be lucky if i reached 500,000... but i get your point, i am not obsessed with this game, just want to get a few more achievements on this game! thanks for your help anyway!

Check this guide out. "Circle strafing" is a good tip when it starts getting hectic (steer your ship in circles, just shooting in front of you to clear the way)

Well, lets be honest now, doesn't matter how much time and practice you get, you are not going to beat BillyBlaze123, with a huge score of 101,110,851, yes, that's 20 million more than K4RN4GE, who is on 81,891,090.

Moving to Xbox Live Arcade obviously

As for the game: it's a fact that there is a large random factor involved in which "favorite opponents" you get during a game. Sometimes you get the blue jack spawns (the hundreds of small ones) at 200k, sometimes at 1.5 million. Sometimes you never get the bitching purple seeker diamond, sometimes you get 5 of them before 250k. Thing is you have to be able to handle them all ofcourse. And as I said before, you have to forget you're playing a game and get in a sort of trance. Become one with your controller and don't wake up until it says game over

My highscore still standing tall at 917k

i have just bought a book called "self hypnosis in 10 easy steps"........that should help me play this game!

In my experience you move up in steps. I was stuck at 200k-something for a while, then all of a sudden I made 400k, and after that I could make 200~400 every game. Then I was stuck at 497k for a long while, until all of a sudden I made 917k. Ever since I've had no trouble passing 500k on nearly every game I play.

Sounds to me like the game is rigged.. Has anyone ever played his hi-score on a different 360 where the owner sucks at G-Wars?

Yes, and the game is not rigged

Very much like Table Tennis, the game has an authentic learning curve. You just learn and improve moves every time you play the game, and it pays off. After that it's like riding a bicycle: autopilot without thinking

Guess I'll have to play some more G-Wars to "evolve" my skills. I suck at it really bad. The 60 thou I have were achieved with much blood, sweat and tears i'll tell ya..

Yesterday i set my personal record at 1.9 million.
Just keep on playing this game.

It is sometimes a verry frustrating game and when it does just don't play it for a couple of days.

You will see that you score will improve if you leave it to rest some time.
(It works for me)

I also know what you mean about the game experience changes sometime's you get loads of those blue guys and it just easy scoring other times you get loads of those nasty worms.

when i got my super awesome high score of 500k or something like that, i had been playing for about 4 hours, restarting over and over again. if i let a game rest, i get really bad at it, especially cod2, im terrible now

Ok, can I ask something. Why has everyone always praised (including me) BillyBlaze and K4R4NGE, for getting really high score. Like BillyBlaze has 101,000,000, but that is on evolved leaderboard. Check out the RETRO board (by pushing Y) then you will see that VVintermute has 203, 023,115. Over double of that what Billy has, is retro easier?

I don't think so.. Didn't get a high score there myself.. only plus I've noticed is dat the whole playingfield fits on the screen. Must be a big advantage, because I died allot by flying into some thing I didn't see comming on the evolved game..

it probably has different multipliers, or more liberally dispenses lives and bombs.

I thing retro is harder to play. Your ship is not as fast as it is in the newer version
