I just wanted to let you know that if you guys have friends that play on PC (Hahahahahahaha hahaha), you can tell them Mad Tracks is available for them at http://www.loadinc.net/madtracks/index.html for just a tad under very cheap.
Ok, I admit, we sould really help the get a 360, but some PC players are just hard to convince... On another note, playing the PC version would be a perfect practice for the XBLA version (now who says I'm sneaky??). Have a fantastic day! |

PC gaming can be acceptable if you use a decent gamepad (the 360 wired works perfect). Too bad most of the popular PC genres suck.

Wow
. I use it mainly for MAME games and Megaman X8 at the moment but most games work great with it. Especially if you fix the deadzones and rumble using XBCD ![]() |

The two platforms share a lot of DirectX9 similarities. We were able to run 'Mad Tracks' only two days after receiving our dev kits (that was end of November!!). Some new code has to be generated but not that much. What takes time are two main factors: 1. console interface (ie: pad vs keyboard) and Microsoft compliance rules (ie: what happends when a pad is disconnected or when your 4 yo takes the MU out while saving). 2. Added content. This is very clever from Microsoft. They make dev add content that will link the game to every other games and in fine to the Xbox360 community (ie: achievements). There. Have a good day. |

Now how long will it take to make an opengl version (most companies don't even try they directly hire icculus).
But still 2 days is amazingly fast.

I've heard from some people how easy the Xbox 360 API's are
Whereas on the PC you have to explicitly open DirectX and get a correct interface, on the 360 it's something like this:Code:
IDirect3D* D3D = (IDirect3D*)1; ![]() |
