What are your thoughts on the Nintendo Wii? Will the Wiimote be a failed gimmick after 4 months of using it? Will Nintendo win the console war because of its expected low pricepoint?

I think it will be peoples second console and Ninty will be fairly happy with that. I don't think they're out to Wiin anything anymore.

I'm getting one After I saw the video of mario galaxy I really wanted to take that Wiimote and play it for days like the old days.. I hope the Wiimote is well designed so I can also use it with my southpaw..

I'll buy one, probably for the same reason as everyone else, it plays different sorts of games from the Xbox360/PS3 side of things and it ain't got a stupid price tag.

So for me it will be a 360 and a Wii and maybe after about a year or two I may be tempted to buy a PS3.

I plan to buy one once they are readily available. not sure if there will be a rush for them or not. I am looking forward to Red steel and Zelda. I might even get the multi-sports game. I don't know if I'll get tons of games for it like i will for the 360, but i will defiabntly get one.

Even if there is a rush, Nintendo isn't really using cutting-edge components so they should have no problem building up huge supply

No Wii online multiplayer for Call of Duty 3. Is this a horrible trend?

Yesterday I posted a story on Call of Duty 3 for the Wii, in which a Nintendo forums member said that Game Informer metioned that the game would have 16 player wifi. The info was indeed posted in Game Informer, but there was an error. I received a statement from Activision earlier today.

“That was a misprint on Game Informer’s part. We wanted to clear up that the Wii version will not have online multiplayer, but is being developed to take advantage of the unique controls and provide an amazing single player interactive experience.”

The gamecube seems like it's haunting the Wii.

Depends in the (thirdparty) games but it's looking good for now. I plan on buying one on launchday.

I think he meant spend the money on an HDTV for his xbox 360 and than get a Wii, cause I will be doing the same, but none the less getting a Wii at some point.
