....at night in total darkness with surround cranked up I did Chapter 5 last night, and man it's got some nasty scenes. When I went to bed eventually I was half expecting a bunch of mannequins to suddenly appear out of nowhere. Damn. Bitch game.

I need to find the one firearm I missed, and I think it's the revolver

I've been using the Rifle, Pump Shotgun and Submachine on level 10 last night, and the .45 when I was redoing level 2, so it can only be the Revolver of the Sawed Off I think, and I'm pretty sure I used the Sawed Off as a melee weapon a few times. And I think getting the firearm award may also close my melee mayhem Then I only need to do 3 and 5 again for the last silver birds, the golden bird, the televisions and the final reports

Ow and lvl 10 again for the Mercy award, I really couldn't be bother to let him live yesterday

I'm still on chapter 3? The game is somethime's a bit to frustrating, because its TO dark. And i have problems to find all the birds in the levels......

All the birds are well lit actually, you just have to find them. Always make sure you visit every room and every corner, and check things like toilet pots. Gas spectrometer will give a few away, and birds are either dead, flapping or rotting. The dead ones are always in obvious positions. The flapping ones you can hear at some distance, and the rotting ones have a visible bunch of flies around them.

Indeed, and the metal plates are extremely easy with all the eyes surrounding them.

Just finished the demo. Had to turn the sound down, the brightness up and have the sun shine in my room. I really like to bash junkies with a fireaxe but the rest is just too scary to enjoy

when I first started playing that game it scared the crap out of me. I almost tossed my controller across the room a few times I was so startled. I wonder if it has something to so with subharmonics in the audio.

It's a combination of dark graphics, well known cliche scaring effects, fitting dynamic music and damn realistic sound effects

Yeah, those sound effects are very well made indeed.
What with the "addicts" shouting at you in the next room, and it being all echoed and muffled. Floor boards creek, it is the scariest game I've played for a very long time, only to be topped by Clock Tower on the PS1 (I was alot younger when I played that, so I was more easily scared)
