Help! I've lost my Gamerscore!

So I accidentally signed into XBL as a guest yesterday. Then Xbox told me I needed to recover my account. So I did. But now I see I've lost all my gamerpoints on a recent game I've been playing ("Prey"). How do I get back the gamerpoints I earned for Prey?!

if they weren't in your profile on xbox.com, they're now gone for good.

You will have play the game again, and thank your lucky stars it wasn't Oblivion that you lost your points on.

Thats awful. My history of playing the game already exists on my xbox hard drive. Why the hell can't that info be uploaded to xbox live?!

Just curios to how can you stop this from happening? I dont wanna have to go through CoD2 on Vet again, lol.

My profile took a shit about 2 months ago. Despite the warning that I'd loose all my saved games, I recovered it from xbox live and it resurrected all the saved games without a hitch. Luckily, I'm connected to Live 99.99% of the time and all of my achivements were on xbox.com, and were also recovered.

in answer to your question, you stop it happening by making sure that your xbox.com profile has those achievements registered. You do that by simply connecting to xbox live.

in answer to your question, you stop it happening by making sure that your xbox.com profile has those achievements registered. You do that by simply connecting to xbox live.

I also think you can go into the system settings and then Memory and copy your gamertag file into a memory card which you can use a back-up

If you earned the gamerpoints while not connected to Xbox Live they're cached on your harddrive until they can be uploaded. If you screw up the account before uploading.... you're screwed I suppose
