DOOM problem

Just bought Doom (which is fb of course) but I have a peculiar problem... Every time I complete a level, it logs me out of Live And in doing so, it keeps restarting my downloads too. So every time I finish a level, my current download stops, and goes back to 0%, which is REALLY annoying.

Anybody else encountered this?

Hmm if that's a consequence of it trying to download the update, that's a bitchy bug they'll have to fix

I thought I'd already downloaded the update?

This is the order of what I did:

- downloaded the trial
- loaded the trial, it asked me to download the update so I did
- played the game a bit, didn't have this problem
- bought the full version (from the dashboard, not within the game)
- loaded the full version, started playing, have had this problem ever since

The annoying thing is, I keep forgetting about the problem and thinking "I'll have a quick game of Doom", and then my 90% complete download goes back to 0%

delete it and download the full version again?

must admit I havent had any downloads running in the background

My downloads stops at the end of each level while the stats screen comes up, but then restarts where it left off when you start a new level,
Sorry doesnt help your problem but deffinatly doesnt sound right.

Well the disconnect problem seems to have gone away, but I still have two other gripes:

1. Savegames keep corrupting - if I save whilst invulnerable and using the BFG, it crashes when trying to reload

2. Hardly anyone online, whenever I go to Quick Match it says "Connecting to game..." and then doesn't connect. If I try to create a game, nobody connects to it. Anyone managed to play successfully online yet? I wanna rack up those 50/100 frag achievements.

Yeah it's definitely "pain", although it would've been nice to see a flipped out Keith drinking paint in the video

The downloads stops because its connecting to live to update your scores. Then as soon as its done with the Live connection it starts the download again.

Its normal like with any other game that connects to live downloads stop E.g PGR3.
