Default ASAP: My $120 depends on it! =O

Are the disc scratches caused by the 360 when tipped over reparable by a Disc Dr., or some kind of device?

I ask because I scratched both my GRAW and COD2 discs by accidentally tipping over my 360 while it was in front of me (and got a nasty gash the second time), and I'm trying to figure out if I should take advantage of the "Buy two, get one free" deal at Toys 'R' Us to replace one of the scratched games. But if I can use some other product to fix the scratch, I'll just use one of those.

Thanks for your time, all.

Sorry. Lemme clarify. I meant on my foot. >>

As for COD3, I don't think I'll buy it. Seems like a bit of a BF1942 ripoff, minus all the fun vehicles...

No receipts. Even if I had 'em, it'd be past the time limit on 'em. Got COD2 for x-mas and GRAW the week it came out in the US, whenever that was.

I'd like to know a specific thing I could use, though. Disc Dr.? Some kind of solution?

Turns out, the people I used have a US company too, right here. My 360 got knocked over, scratching my disc as you would expect. If these guys do the same as the English company, you will get your game back in five days and the disc works perfectly! And it's cheap!

Disc Doctor won't work.

360 scratches the disc too deep. Next time, have the console horizontally nor vertically.

It simply depends on how deep the scratches are. DVDs have a protective cover of like 0.7mm or so, and scratches in that should be repairable by common tools. Tipping over a 360 however while playing a game hammers a solid steel drive mechanic into your disc which is spinning several thousands rotations per minute at that time. In general, that translates to "you're screwed"

I usually do. It's a long story, but I had the 360 standing up because I was testing the ethernet cables I use (for some reason one won't work when used with the original xbox?), and didn't feel like going around the entertainment center every time I tested the cables. Just forgot to put it back after I got a working combo.

I talkedto m friend, and he has a solution that can be rubbed into the scratches to fill them in. If that doesn't work, I'll use that link above posted by Rossko. Thanks a lot for your help, guys.

Now all that remains is to find a Toys 'R' Us to go to. The nearest ones are both 30-40 minutes away. r_r The one that was reasonably close went out of business... go figure.
